I just want to point out that everyone was crying that this team needed an overhaul from the top down when JB came in. Other than the Sedins, Edler and Tanev this team has had an overhaul over 2 seasons. Burrows and Higgins I guarantee will be gone. Hamhuis is gone. Is it his fault there has been no interest over the last 2 years of their decline. We may not be seeing the improvements now but he has made moves to improve this teams future. I don't care about his sound bites and the media going after him. I care about the future of this team. He will go after a few free agents and try to make it competitive again. Perfect No. Full retard No. This isn't a 2 year fix. I am not nor will I ever be a part of tank nation. There is always a transition period 2 years doesn't cut it. Step off the ledge and stop looking for Bennings head.

This team is well on its way to multiple 80 point seasons. It's time to get excited for the hurried rebuild

Jennings looked great for the Lions and a huge punt return.

I think most of the trades are over. I have a feeling we are close to a set roster for the next year now once we get our free agents.

I think you will see a lot more now transitions like when Boeser is ready to move into top 6 then you see a Hansen trade. If Juolevi is ready in three years then trade Edler.

- VANTEL

I just believe that this year that it's an audition year for pretty much a lot of the middle 6 players for all the teams since they can only protect so many players or a far out example is that what happens if Murray flops in Pitt this upcoming season do they protect him or Fleury. Pitt's window is there and I'm sure Crosby's opinion will be felt there. I just think it'll be an interesting year for the whole NHL for player movement.

I sure hope that Juolevi is ready to play a 3rd pairing role in 2 years and not wait for 3

It would be interesting to see what everyone said 2 years ago, gut everything or just gut Gillis but I agree T.

Sure but can we also take a breath before claiming that the rebuild is over and how successful Benning is?

Rebuild? If you call swapping some mediocre names for new ones, the likes of EDM and TOR have successfully rebuilt their rosters ten times over.

This team remains in a sad state of affairs and will continue to do so for years to come.

I don't know exactly how to tell you that Bo Sven JV Gudbrandson might be better than an old Higgins a Burrows Hamhuis Weber

Juolevi's goal is to make the NHL this season. I don't think it is unrealistic but I personally think he needs more development and London is the place he should be.

Well you highlighted a sentence that nowhere does it state that the rebuild is over. No where did I say that this was a success. This is a work in progress. Time.

I expect Juolevi to play on the roster in 2018 or the latest 2019. I expect him to have the same type year Hutton had last year and steady improvement in years to follow

Yeah thought so. Wally made good coaching decisions that kept the game close plus the Stamps shanked an easy 31 yd FG but still…win is a win..

How many NHL teams have you played on? How many Stanley Cup rings do you have? How many drafts were you sitting at the table for making selections. How many contracts have you sat down for and hammered out deals .

It is easy to sit back and call a guy an idiot, but he is actually making money at something you tried for years to do and were not qualified to do.

He has made a living out of something all of us wish we could do. He is actually damn good at it also, wether you like him or not. He is an easy target because he sounds funny.

He's by no means the greatest GM, but again, I said it when he and WD was hired, all he's here for is to take us to the end of the Sedins contract and stock our cupboards. Then he'll get one year with the new core to prove that he's built a contender. I personally could care less what he says, I think the media and fans read into what he says too much or try to put words in his mouth.

The fact is, I agree with Vantel, considering what he started out with, he's done a decent (not great) job of starting to rebuild the team from the net out. If he can somehow sign Stamkos or else Lucic and Eriksson this years team will not be a bottom feeder again unless we have a rash of injuries like we did. I see the 3 Cali teams slowly beginning to fall back and Calgary, Edmonton and us getting closer. It's not as bleak as people might believe, plus expansion is going to hamstring Edmonton, Calgary, LA, Anaheim and San Jose going forwards because of all the players they have to protect.
Keep the faith, this team will be fine.

- DariusKnight

Well said...who the (frank) cares what he says on the radio. People need to stop being hysterical female doges and focus on important things like our new defense. Rebuilds take time. I wouldn't be surprised if Linden and Benning quit with this fanbase

TO has been rebuilding for 50 years and EDM for 10. We are nowhere near that state of affairs my friend. EDM is only 2 top 4 dmen away from being in the playoffs and the Nucks are only 2 UFA's away from the WC spot which is what ownership wants right now. 2 years Benning has overhauled the roster and done a pretty damn good job considering we have little to no assets to bargain with a stale core and roster from the Gillis era. We will be fine.

He was targeting me. I said the reuild is mostly over. I never said it was a successful one. He is throwing his own twist on that.

I think we make the playoffs this year but we won't be beaten down like we were by LA or the Flames . We may lose but we won't be handed our asses in shame.

The following year we make more improvements
