It only took the NHL gm's the 3rd time around to figure out he was only in it for the money. Good riddance to him.

How many NHL teams have you played on? How many Stanley Cup rings do you have? How many drafts were you sitting at the table for making selections. How many contracts have you sat down for and hammered out deals .

It is easy to sit back and call a guy an idiot, but he is actually making money at something you tried for years to do and were not qualified to do.

He has made a living out of something all of us wish we could do. He is actually damn good at it also, wether you like him or not. He is an easy target because he sounds funny.

That (frank)er rebuilt your team in a little over two years. They made the playoffs in one of those years. The guy lives at the rink and gets sh1t on by fans daily. Give him a little longer than two years to prove himself.

Secondly, he hasn't rebuilt jack poop yet, he's injected some youth into an aged lineup, but, they just finished third last in the league...and the team still has no true top six forwards beyond the Sedins.

The team has a long ways to go Vantel before they're good again. Benning needs more time I agree, but that doesn't excuse him for being an idiot and flapping his yap on tv or on the radio all the time.

He's by no means the greatest GM, but again, I said it when he and WD was hired, all he's here for is to take us to the end of the Sedins contract and stock our cupboards. Then he'll get one year with the new core to prove that he's built a contender. I personally could care less what he says, I think the media and fans read into what he says too much or try to put words in his mouth.

The fact is, I agree with Vantel, considering what he started out with, he's done a decent (not great) job of starting to rebuild the team from the net out. If he can somehow sign Stamkos or else Lucic and Eriksson this years team will not be a bottom feeder again unless we have a rash of injuries like we did. I see the 3 Cali teams slowly beginning to fall back and Calgary, Edmonton and us getting closer. It's not as bleak as people might believe, plus expansion is going to hamstring Edmonton, Calgary, LA, Anaheim and San Jose going forwards because of all the players they have to protect.

Keep the faith, this team will be fine.

Maybe at the start of this upcoming year when you see that only 5 of the 23 starters still remain on the team , you might realize that a rebuild happened.

Agree is early and there might be a lot more movement thus year because of the LV expansion. I'm hoping that Benning can convince Detroit to take on Edler for a decent pick since apparently he's looking for another Dman.

I think most of the trades are over. I have a feeling we are close to a set roster for the next year now once we get our free agents.

I think you will see a lot more now transitions like when Boeser is ready to move into top 6 then you see a Hansen trade. If Juolevi is ready in three years then trade Edler.

I hate seeing Vegas getting a team how will that end up being any different then the Florida teams? It probably would have worked out better in Seattle tbh but as far as travel goes that would be much better

Been babysitting Phucker again?

If Vancouver was able to get some good players during free agency then its not really impossible to say they could make a run at the playoffs providing people can stay healthy

This is really the key. A few UFA's Eriksson, Lucic or Brouwer or a combination of the two should get us close to the WC. With the Sedins and Miller playing to potential of course. And the fact that we always seem to have 8 starters out of the lineup by Jan-Feb.

Rebuild? If you call swapping some mediocre names for new ones, the likes of EDM and TOR have successfully rebuilt their rosters ten times over.

This team remains in a sad state of affairs and will continue to do so for years to come.
