I honestly thought Dubois the better player and would have been surprised if he was passed by Columbus. Edmonton would have taken him over Tkachuk. It was wishful thinking on our part. I think if we were picking 3rd and took Dubois only a few of us would be happy and everyone would say JB is an idiot. Much like the Juolevi pick.

I'm sure most of us thought that was pretty stupid. Not a representative opinion.

My point was they have spent 10 years just accumulating skilled players without any attempt to build a team. Now that the value of the skilled players is diminishing, it's really only their own fault and they still need to pull the trigger on something to get out of that hole. Even if they don't get what's perceived as fair value for a former number one overall.
