So Connor McDavid didn't win the Calder because he didn't play enough games and Eric Lindros gets in the HOF despite having a short career.

That's easily explained. All the people that made up all the poop they did prior to the draft then watched none of their fabricated rumors come to fruition are out of ideas. So like Hollywood get ready for some remakes and reboots. |

Don't worry. Reveen will not be snubbed on the first ballot into the HBPHOF (hockeybuzz posters hall of fame)
He's got the category of best poster with best hair all sewn up....no competition really. |

Good deal. 750 for him is great. I'd rather him at that price than Letestu at 1.8.
Something is going to have to give though as we already have 14 forwards signed not including PUJU and some guys in the minors could fight for a spot like Jujhar and Slepy. |

Shultz not qualified by Pitt. Is UFA. Who thinks he ends up back with the oil if we can't make any deals for RHD?

I hope he does. The Oilers need someone to bring in what that have learned from a winning culture and pass it on. Jultz wearing his cup ring around the dressing room might just be what the oilers need to get them over the hump......he's not allowed to play though. |

John Merrill was not qualified. Maybe he can join Fayne next year. |

No chance in Hell he was getting qualified. That Cap hit would have forces us to trade Malkin, and then EK would have actually gotten a rumor right. Ain't nobody want that. |

So if we trade yak do you guys think Connolly would be signed as a replacement??
He'd be a cheap guy and chiarelli did give up two 2nd round picks to trade for him when he was in Boston |

No need. We've got forwards to spare right now.
PC needs to concentrate on a top pair rhd. That's it! |

I'd be wholly open to it. Taller frame, low cost (sub-1mil), and a RH shot. Checks a number or boxes and has produced solid numbers in a role with skilled players. Could pull a Pouliot with us. |

Nothing wrong with adding a bit of skilled depth. As this move likely means they're resolved to give Griffith and Vatrano their fair shots at top-9 minutes, I'd accept this as a solid back up option. |

Yup I agree. I feel like if we trade yak (which I think we will) then he will be able to produce at the same rate and be more responsible defensively. |

Obviously RHD is the most priority but that logic is lunacy.
Should we not have signed caggilia because he's a RHD. Connolly is a right shot winger that is responsible defensively and can put up 25-30 points with average players. The fact that he would cost most likely less than a million is a big plus.

I'd definitely give him a 1 year 1-1.5 mill contract. |

I highly doubt he will be as cheap as you guys think. We have a pile of guys for the bottom 6 already. I highly doubt he looks at the oilers and sees a spot for himself and even contemplates signing. He will have many better offers and options. |
