I just can't believe it man like when will we get our day ? when are we going to be the team that pulls that blockbuster for a franchise player ? Im sick of watching cory make saves for 60 minutes I want to see some (frank)ing scoring

It's unbelievable. It seems every year since we passed on John Carlson there has been a no brainer sitting there for us and we pass. Except the Matteau year, there was no option there except forfeiting the pick.

I wonder where he goes next year. He's not committed anywhere. I figure he gets some time in Albany until next year.

Can't. He's NHL or CHL. No in between.

I kinda think you all need to relax a bit. Zacha seems to be a good pick so far, and we just got the fastest player in the draft with elite work ethic and drive to get better. Let's not forget pitt just won the cup with the fastest team, and Shero put that team together... him and scouts clearly know more Tha us, although I'll admit I wanted brown

We all relaxed while Conte was picking Tedenby and Josefson over Carlson and Palmieri. It's time to actually start drafting well, or going full tank and trade Cory and pick top 3 every year for the next decade.

Every scouting report that I read peg this dude to develop into an above average 3rd liner. This first round went in the exact opposite direction than I hoped.

The more I read about him, the more I see John Madden. Fast skater, two way, plays competitively... yeah, he could end up being a third-line shutdown center.

I love how we draft players we could get in free agency lets draft third liners in the first round and try to sign first liners in free agency because thats how you build a good team lets get a bunch more penguins garbage this offseason to maybe a couple more of their career ahlers

I'm glad we will have a Travis Zajac replacement in 4 years. (frank) you Ray.

I guess but just because your drafted a center doesn't mean will play there. Q Zacha of him could end up wingers. I think it's too early to panic. Heck people panicked last year when Ray traded back in the second and got an extra 3rd and that pick looks like a gem. Give it time dreger said NJ scouted MM a lot so shero and company really like his game

I won't defend the pick... but NJ still needs a lot more forward talent. Shero better have a plan next year because if things go as as they are, we're headed nowhere and straight towards another blow-up and rebuild under a new GM. Trade Schneider and tank or try to get your hands on two very significant forwards (and that's likely not happening).

This season moved the franchise backwards. Only Palmieri really "broke out" for us, but the guys underneath us all picked up even more talent (to add to their wealth) and we ended up with a mediocre pick and no new "exciting" talent.
