For some reason he likes Barrie and Faulk was talked about a few weeks ago but that's been quite. Homie mentioned it started again but IMO, they don't move Faulk. We line up good with the Blues, Backus is gone as of now anyway and Girgensons can fill that roll. There is another D man that I don't have a name of as of yet.

Gotta be Shattenkirk no? I mean conditional upon him signing an extension id move that pick for him. The barrie thing is weird, i like him but whats the angle? Colorado is looking for a d-man so are you doing something with Bogo + or offering trying to offer up as much value as you can?

That counts for something...

Look I get what your saying...he had a DOWN down year...I'd just like to see if he had the ability to bounce back...if he doesn't...ship him out at the trade deadline.

I agree Fasching has a higher ceiling, but honestly I don't think he's ready for the NHL and could benefit from a season in Rochester like Reinhart did

Name one thing he's good at. Not okay, name one thing he's GOOD at.He's average at skating, scoring, passing, defense, etc. He's not good. Fasching has more offensive upside and is a bigger body. Girgensons just tries hard.
- Zschalberg

Girgensons is a 1st round draft pick and Fasching was what? A 4th rounder? Having a big body doesn't make you a better player. I'm not saying not to trade Girgensons. I would certainly consider it if he was a piece to land a guy like Faulk or Shattenkirk, but people are acting like he is Ville Leino.

Barrie is soft IMO, we don't need him let the AVS keep him.

Even if his contract is at $10 million per versus Buffalo's 12, he's still leaving money on the table. As was pointed out before, the endorsement money could very well exceed his salary in Toronto. It wouldn't come close in Buffalo.
- buffalofan19

I don't think the endorsements in hockey are that high. I don't think this argument holds much water

I guess the idea would be to find some sort of balance. Maybe it works with McCabe who is better at the physical side.

That counts for nothing! How many cups does Ted Nolan have? None because it's not JUST about trying hard. You have to have skill and Girgensons doesn't.

Fasching needs a year in minors, but he's way more valuable than a 4th line center and yes, that's all he is because if he's in your top 6 that is a pathetic top 6 and if our 3rd line is Foligno-Larsson-Gionta and he can't even beat that (which is already a pathetic 3rd line) then tell me he can do it when the 3rd line is actually competitive.

If Stamkos signs in Toronto, he will be the biggest name in a Canadian market by a mile. He will get an unprecedented amount of endorsement deals.

Put it this way, what is being said about him not wanting to play in Toronto was 100% true. Things have changed and so has Stamkos - it's not a defnite but it would be a good bet.

McDavid might have something to say about that.
