That was before the 36th pick. I liked Abramov and Dahlen definitely more than McKenzie's ranks, but they had them around there, so I put them on. Now with 36, there's guys like Benson, Katchouk, Laberge, DeBrincat.
I'm not exactly in love with the d in that range. The 3rd round is my money ticket for a D. But we also gave up a 3rd, so perhaps that changes things. Maybe Hronek for our later 2nds. - Mononoke
Yeah there's good D they can probably land in the 3rd round. I keep looking at the deep group of forwards and think that's where I lean |

Yeah, you want your centers to be steady and responsible so your wingers can go buck wild.
36. Debrincat,
48. Abramov,
52. Dahlen.
Get it done Hexy. - Tomahawk
I mean that would be crazy. Not sure Abramov and Dahlen last until there. I'd be ok with one of them at 36. Excited even. I don't doubt Hexy would take a chance on a smaller skill guy -- but I have a hard time believing he takes two undersized players in the 2nd. Dahlen is pretty average himself. I could even see them using 1 of their 3 picks on a D. Pretty incredible though we were positing jumping back into 1st, and now it seems entirely pointless and we have 3 picks in the next 22. |

3rd round to draft Lucas Carlsson or Andrew Peeke or Josh Mahura could be a real win there. Use one of the 4ths to trade up in that round even. It'd be crazy to come away with 4 forwards in the top 52, but the draft does break that way. I certainly wouldn't mind a couple d going before 36, maybe a goalie. Hajek and Clague maybe -- neither of him I'm a fan of for taking. |

I assume they think Rubstov's future is at center. If they take three LW's tomorrow morning I won't complain(assuming they are all near BPA) |

Kopitar-esque ceiling?
Hard question to ask, i know - Mordecai
Having never seen him play a single shift, it's hard to say. Big-name comparisons get put out there for almost every prospect early in the draft. With that caveat, I've heard Patrice Bergeron and Couturier as comparison players.
