Again, I only know what I have read, but if the ceiling on those guys after 3 is Schenn from last season, then it makes no sense to take 60 points out of your lineup today to see if that is true in 2019

Let's remove Sanhiem from the equation. What does Schenn and 18 get you? I think that is a far more interesting move for us. Keep Sanhiem. No Yak.

I'm thinking it gets you to the 7-11 range. Brown, Jost, Keller. That type of move would intrigue me.

his situation here wouldnt be much different from EDM. I think in order for him to succeed he needs to be on a top line...needs PP time

does he replace jake or simmonds...or even Schenn if he is on the right? Putting him with Laughton or Cousins and giving him 10-12 minutes a night without PP time just doesnt really do much for me

I still wouldn't, because again, Yakupov very likely can't do what Schenn does, the four won't do it until Giroux and Voracek are in their 30s, and you still dumped Sanheim

The forward I get at 4 is what I really want. I am not as down on Yakupov. I think a change would help him.

I also am not having to pay possibly 5-5.5 million for a forward I might not believe in.

Just say I get Puljujarvi at 4 and Yakupov.

That's two top 6 wingers, my opinion, for the price of Schenn. Now I also have money to try and spend a little more on possibly a vet center.

I feel pretty comfortable going to sleep tonight on the statement that Nail Yakupov ain't ever getting 35
