Now we could really use a pure skilled winger. We have a center with decent size who plays bigger, with a fantastic 2-way game. Someone who can just light the lamp or is dynamic would be a great compliment.

Couturier and Rubtsov are the types of centers who do all the hard work, with skill, and improve and free up skilled wingers to just go ape poop.

Him. Abramov....Bitten....Kyrou....Dahlen....

There's a few. If we select 4 players in the top ~50, or trade up and select 3....we have assets to work with to find a pure scorer or dynamic winger. God, I just can't get over the fact that a) Hexy targeted Rubtsov, who was one of my favorites with a perfect game for us b) we traded down and picked up a #36 and still got him.

I'm just over the moon.

To those who wanted someone with more "bite" to his game, Rubtsov has bite. Just in a hockey playing sense. He's absolutely relentless forechecking and backchecking. He is one of the hardest working players in the draft.

He said he's working to get out of his Russian contract to come to NA.
