I like K Y ...very strong O skills ,needs to carry puck, needs alot of ice time to be affective.....DOWNSIDE: makes a lot of boo boos and misses alot of in front of net play, his +- is terrible......
i too bought in when they didnt sign or trade by deadline i thought we are
a top contender & Gorton is breakin a commandent w/Slats ...
thou shall not keep a player if not signed by deadline...
I think with Shey lookin like a baby Leetch inthe makin ( I lke himalot)
we gave it a last run with this group as built.....
I M O ..NYr mgmt beleived we could make a deep run
drawing Pitt was a dagger for a unsure group startin P O's
Its why i think we may make some real major moves to
1. get the prize center we need to win
2. build it around him & with out Nash Step Krieds on the O
3. free up cap $ by also movin from the D 1or 2 vet D .......now its outta 4 left
4. takin a pkg of needed talent , top picks, we should take off 30 mill +of NYR talent $ either retiring ,traded or other wise and taking back some top talent
and picks to free up some ...
Stamkos is the only mandate for me.....
what the trades yield &what we sign in f A's after Stamkos will be to suti him and his intense desire on the ice... love his game ,must get his game on NYR
IT can be done with smart calculating fair deals to get a new era started ...
Built BY AV & Gorto with Slats over seeing , I see a trio makin it happen
Otherwise it will be a slow painful season with out this type of action..
we must see as built ( 2 1a centers, Nash , slow vet D in a speed lg.)we will not win ,maybe compete some because they all have character BUT ...
NHL hockey play now makes A V 's 1st season here look like slow motion...
what was a surprise all that yr is now been mimmicked by all ...
speed kills .. pitt sure proved that .....
ya know, I just listened to them both & it is VERY close to being the same. The question would have to be, did Zepp INTENTIONALLY do it? Did they even know that song/band existed? - B2B76
They did, they toured together in 1968 after Page dissolved the Yardbirds and formed the Led Zeppelin
I have a feeling Page heard them doing it and thought it was cool and said to himself I can make that a whole lot better, because besides the beginning notes, the song Taurus recorded was awful

Wow, ok then.
I just finished reading another Black Sabbath book, "Symptom of the Universe" & had no idea Sabbath & Zeppelin were very good friends, who liked & respected each other a lot. The press always built up a rivalry between the 2. Bonzo was actually Tony Iommi's best man at his first wedding in 1973.

Supposedly there is a jam session out there between both groups

Page is notorious for claiming songwriting credits for blues songs merely because Led Zeppelin recorded a cover version of somebody else's song. I guess Atlantic Records never bothered to have a lawyer explain to him how that worked. He probably did the same thing with the Spriit song "Taurus" and never thought anything of it.

if Page didn't copy Willie Dixon nobody would ever care about Willie Dixon, he did him a favor

Sabbath is my favorite band to this day, was obsessed w them as a late teen back 20 + years ago, owned everything of there's. I always felt Ozzy was a bit overrated as a singer but Iommi was the glue that held them together, one of the more underrated guitar hero's of his day...

Seeing them for the first time at Jones Beach in August. I know its at the end of their careers but I'm still pumped
Let's start some draft talk..... Anybody know any gems that they might want to the Rangers to go digging for?(Auston Matthews seems like he could fall to 81)
do you think any teenage white boys in the 1970's would have been interested in a Willie Dixon record if Zeppelin hadn't turned them onto it? or Cream?

I saw them at Jones Beach in 99 w Pantera as the opening act, also the first tour at the 97 Ozzfest at Giants Stadium when they had reformed. Ozzy has his cringe worthy moments as always but the band is tight as hell. Tony & Geezer hold it down, they have gone through many drummers since Bill Ward has been gone.

Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker & Clapton. What a power trio that was!

Bonham always said Supernaut was his favorite Sabbath song. I remembered that cuz it's my favorite too.
Speaking of Bonham, Jason is doing a Zep experience now which is really good. He'll also be back with Black Country Communion. If you like the 70's Classic Rock sound, BCC has got it in spades.
Good for Yandle he does fit better in Florida than with the Rangers. While we will miss his goals we won't miss his blunders on Defense! I have heard a lot of chatter regarding moving Stepan and Klein trading Klein makes no sense at all!!! $2.9 cap hit for two years the Rangers need the quality he brings for that price tag!!!!! Trading Stepan for Ryan Nugent is even dumber for 500K less please don't listen to Larry Brooks he knows nothing about hockey!!! To trade a consistent player like Stepan for Hopkins who is not playing well would be ridicules! Trading him to Colorado makes better sense for Duchene maybe! The Rangers do want Shattenkirk however they must move Staal or G to do so and my hope its Staal. There is no reason why we can't make deals with Edmonton or Buffalo and get a first round draft pick out of it. With regards to Kreider one of my favorite players that I have watched since Boston days and couldn't wait for him to become a Rangers this is hit or miss. How long do we wait for him to fully develop and what price will that come at? I would think if his demands are 4M plus trade him! I would hate to say goodby but he still can't play D and still takes to many dumb penalties! Curious any reason why we have not looked into Ladd?
