They won the Jennings trophy, which is an accomplishment but when people talk about acquiring young talent from the Ducks it's usually their D and Gibson.

I don't think it's a bad move, but it isn't without risk.

Anderson is alright. And 5 mill for a starter isn't awful. Lots of worse goalies making more

I don't think its bad either, the guy played 54 games and 43 games the past 2 regular seasons. He lost out to Gibson because he was cheaper, simple as that. He was arguably the #1 in Anaheim the past 2 years.

When I see all the comments on Twitter , in here, on TV and the radio about what teams are willing to give up for a Dman , we won our last trade for EG . Easily.

Vatanen Lindholm Hamonic Barrie off the market.

- VANTEL

Still maintain an OS for Lindholm is good.
Cost us a 1st/3rd next year.
I don't see us a bottom 5 next year & the higher we rank the better it looks.
A 3rd is nothing & a mid 1st is nothing close to a Lindholm with a weak draft in 2017.
If it happened then a D needs to be moved or at the TDL.
Tanev seems logical cuz of value & he fetches what we lost to get Lindholm maybe more.
Nothing against Tanev but gotta give to get. Worst that happens if Lindholm not traded is the Ducks forced to use more cap they don't want to.

Possible D in 2016
Lindholm
EG
Edler
Tanev
Hutton
Sbisa
Tree

Going forward that looks great for years to come.
Sbisa would be left unprotected & Tanev may be moved idk
Edler could be forced preferably.

Still cap space to get a Brouwer or Martin leftover.

Matter of opinion, he led the Ducks to the conference finals 2 years ago and came into to relieve Gibson this playoff too. They're both good young goalies, it'll be interesting to see if they keep developing.

I think JP is the ultimate boom or bust. There are clear consistency issues, even bad for an 18 yr old. He's got the all around best skill set in the draft but rarely shows it. We got a glimpse at the WJHC were he was by far the best ayer in the tourny
- Bieksa#3

I'm surprised you consider him a boom or bust guy as my impression was that he was the more consistent and well rounded player between him and Laine.

I keep thinking Hossa when I see him play and wouldn't be surprised at all if he ends up being the most effective player out of the top 3 this season.

Bettman will make sure we have the top 1-2 worst travel schedule in the league...never gonna change until that little wiener is gone.

Hossa would be a good comparison. I had kind of thought the Finnish Loui eriksson

I could be wrong but I thought Linden had been campaigning for less trips of longer duration?

If true, isn't this a step in the right direction?

Vancouver is always going to have among the worst travel schedules......it's a geographical reality. California has the Cali teams, even though SJ isn't all that close to LA.

Calgary is as close as it gets.
