He was a pretty decent hockey player in his prime, fan expectations and injuries have altered people perceptions I think.

Yes, Raymond was good in the 2010-2011 years with Kesler was a pretty fast line. I think people forget how much of a good team we had back then with the people who filled needed roles ie. Samuelson, Max Lapierre, Manny, Raymond, Torres, Rome

Reminds me of the Sutter trade and extension. You can justify the trade itself, but not the extension.

I'm sure glad Benning moved Garrison to get the 2nd round pick used to acquire Vey. What great asset management. Garrison played as TB's #3 this season & #4 last & when with the Canucks. Whoever thought a top 4 NHL Dman could be had so cheap on a decent contract.

Put me & the Canucks out of my misery & fire Benning now. Take Desjardins & Linden with him. Include Acquilini with all of them well at it. Can we fire an owner?

Thankfully I'm keeping my 10K spent on seasons tickets for essentially the last 25 years. Why pay 10K for 2 seats annually when I can get them for free or 12.50 on the street & only go to games I wish to. Which moving forward is ZERO. Or at least until they clean house in management.

Only 5 players after that pick made the nhl from that year and I do believe Trymakin has the most games played among them. Name 20 untradeable "assets" taken 50-60 currently playing in the nhl, go!

My take on Andersen trade:

Lot of us called it I'm sure. I know I did, yesterday I believe. That Andersen is a good fit there.

I'm ok with the trade. I think the 2nd was probably "the sweetner" to get the deal done. Whether to outbid other team(s) or just to hurry the process along before others got involved. Sound familiar? Just like Gudbranson.

However, all the analytics guru's and (canuck haters other HB threads) trashed JB.

Well, leafs fans seem pretty happy with this move. Aren't D generally more valuable and expensive to acquire as compared to a G?
