I am gonna say it in public...i really like a lot of players on the Penguins...to the point that I dont even care that they won. Sure SJ had some awesome players too, but there really are very few players on the Penguins I dislike anymore and the way they played was awesome to watch. It looks like they had a ton of fun at the parade and some of the injury news was incredible.

Congrats to them and their 10 fans that I can tolerate

Fleury is overrated. Kunitz is a cheap little bastard. Crosby has the league in his pocket. Letang is a cheap little bastard. Malkin looks like Frankenstein, Kessel is fat. I don't pay enough attention to the other guys.

Yeah, it's safe to say I don't like them. I hate that we've own them historically and they still have 2 more Cups then us. I had to grow to accept Talbot and Jagr on this team.

I could care less how many cups a team won in the past with a different core of players. The usual suspects I still find annoying, but they acquired a bunch of players I always liked so it kinda evened out. When you compare it to what some other teams have...I really dont hate what happened. Rangers lost...Caps lost...

Penguins should be up there second to the Rangers and they won. For one team to win, others have to lose. Pens won and I can't stand it.

I hate knowing that players spent a majority of the season injured only to disappear and take up space.

When they get hurt they need to be taken out of the lineup and start treatment ASAP.

I'd rather Giroux out of the lineup recovering then playing at 60%. Playoffs be damned.

So I started dating this girl in college...she made "healthy" chocolate chip cookies for me for valentines day a couple months after we started dating. I told her she could leave them at her place and I didnt eat a single coookie.

FWIW:

the Philadelphia Flyers …

Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post: The Philadelphia Flyers will be buying out R.J. Umberger.

“You don’t want to make rash decisions at the end of the season but that’s the way we were leaning,” Hextall said. “We need the space and I think it is probably better for R.J and for us.”

Umberger had one year left on his deal, but will now carry a $1.6 million cap hit next year, $1.5 million in 2017-18. The move will save them $3 million next year.

“There were two parts to the trade essentially,” Hextall explained. “The one was the space. I felt like two or three years from then it was going to be good for us, and I feel the same way now. Hartsy’s been a good player in Columbus and R.J. didn’t play as well as we hoped and certainly didn’t play as well as he hoped. There were some health issues there as well, so in terms of the deal right now I feel like it’s a benefit for us. We need space, we’ve got guys that are coming up like (Shayne Gostisbehere) and (Brayden) Schenn and (Radko) Gudas. We need space.”

If Vincent Lecavalier doesn’t retire by July 1st, the Flyers will be responsible for half of his $500,000 bonus.

Flyers GM Ron Hextall has made an offer to Ryan White and is awaiting a response.

Contract talks with RFA Radko Gudas are not going well.

They continue to work on a Brayden Schenn contract.

The bold part has me wondering what he could be wanting if true.
