What do you guys think of Dustin Brown? Perhaps a change of scenery could benefit him? If we could make a deal that had AMac involved and LA keeping 1-2 mill - xShoot4WarAmpsx
I would make this deal, but only to trade Brown again, keeping 1 million on the books for the next 6 years or until he retires |

I was a huge fan of him, but he's just fallen off a cliff. If the contracts ran out at the same time, I'd do it, but don't like the extra year on Brown. - jmatchett383
I while I was in my fantasy league last year I kept noticing him in the FA pool and surprising enought he was near the top of the league in Shots. To me it seems like a sign of life but I am someone who is afraid of risk over all. If it doesnt work out then we have him longer than AMac but at the same time if LA keeps 1-2 mill he would at least still be cheaper. |

In a perfect world they'd contract to 24 teams and the level of skill and competition would be phenomenal. Of course that will never happen, because, as we all know, the only thing that matters is $$$$$$$$$$$$$ - BiggE
I dont care with the number of teams they have now. If they wanted to say scrap Phoenix or Florida sure.
Just fix the fact that the West has 16 teams and East 14. Its moronic how they let that slide and cry for parity.

He kind of looks done to me.
Maybe a change helps but the way he plays doesn't seem to tailor himself to a long career.
He might be able to handle a Mike Richards role that he played with the caps but not at the price he is getting now. |

Dustin Brown is absolutely shot. I want no part of him. He brings less to the table than AMac. Worst contract in the league next to JStaal. |

I wonder how Vegas will fair as a FA destination? Would it be attractive to live there? You might be able to get a nice endorsement deal with a casino or hotel. Vegas interest me in what it could offer players outside of hockey there. |

Possibly.
I just find the business side interesting. I see it being more successful than the Coyotes. I think there is more opportunity there. Also you have the Raiders wanting to go there. I just wonder if it will be attractive to a FA |

Have you never seen him play? That is all he does is shoot. Thats why he is terrible playing with skilled players and why hes bad on the Kings...its like running the offense through Nerlins Noel |

He's actually not shot though. He is, kind of like an exaggerated/better version of our own Matt Read, still a really solid third line player -- as a scorer and possssion player. His contract is just wretched. |

And that's the problem. I think he could easily fill a role like Richards did for the caps. It's just that for what he is paid it's not going to work.
Speaking of Richards and people wanting a 3rd line vet center, would you be interested in a reunion on a 1 or 2 year cheap deal? |

I've mentioned this before. I wouldn't be averse to signing Richards to a 1 or 2 year deal at 1 million aav.

Yeah, for me , with that contract he's shot. No way in hell am I touching it. The cap hit vs play is one thing. The term just makes it so much more worse. No reason to consider it even if it got AMac out of here. |

And shorten the season to about 60 games and award the Cup in April. |
