Everyone is ok with Stamkos but not fine with duchene? I get we would have to give up assets for him but he'd be worth it. 6 mil cap hit over 10.5. Also, the argument of how Matthews or marner may be out producing Stamkos come contract time and they would want more than Stamkos, well more than duchene wouldn't be so bad.

Acquiring duchene is the same as acquiring Kessel.

Acquiring stamkos makes assets expendable to acquire a dman.

Stamkos costs nothing but cap and cash.

Assets like who? They really dont have many proven assets, a lot of hopefuls.. Not exactly in a spot to just start selling the farm. Colorado wont be looking for picks or prospects either i doubt..
