I honestly don't know what would give you that feeling. - MJL
Hextall's blank stare into Brayden's eyes as he completed the trade call of Luke to LA on speakerphone
"Sure you can throw in whomever, it doesnt matter to us...Weal, as in Jordan? A center that can play wing? That should help our depth down the middle, we accept that deal" |

Columbus wouldn't, unless they could unload one of their NMCs...they'll have a hard time with expansion if they need to protect them all, adding Schenn won't help them.
I think that Schenn, Sanheim, #18, 2017 1st, and maybe a guy like Straka/Leier. Basically, some big overpayment. - jmatchett383
Damn.
Just saw what Foligno and Dubinsky are getting. |

Yeah, they're screwed. You may be able to sweeten the deal by taking someone back (like Tyutin, if he'd waive). |

Tyutin was the one I was thinking about since it is the last year of his deal.

If we can trade up into the top 10 (which I think is a possibility) I really really want to draft Jake Bean, I saw him play a few games this season (his d partner this season was sanheim) and he looked great, I also think he will still be there come 10 of 11. |

I don't think it's a stretch to think most of them would waive to get out of Columbus. |

Other then the top 3 there just aren't a lot of guys I really am in love with. There are a couple I like(Bellows, Jones, Jost, Dubois) but no one that just I absolutely need.
I would be open in moving 18 if it got me a young forward. Someone like Shaw, Trouba(only defender), Rackell, Nichushkin. Would the Islanders move Strome? |

How does the 26 goals and 33 assists factor in? |

Exactly, its all a crap shoot, I just really dont want to make a stupid move involving overpayment to get into the top 5. |

Nick Foligno sure cashed in during a year where he had a shooting percentage of 17%. He's always been overrated to me.
And Brandon Dubinsky is a nice player, but not "6 years-35 million dollars" nice. |

Would you rather have Dubinsky at his deal, or Kesler at his (six-year, $41.25-million)?
A lot of these deals scream (to me), "Sure, I'll play and live in Columbus, if you pay me enough." |

Kesler, probably.
I could be overpaid to live in Columbus. I think. |

I don't know. Looks nice now.
Foligno cashed in on a nice season and backed it up with 12 goals.
There is risk either way. For me and just me. I am not sold that Schenn will get much better. And I think if the Flyers were completely sold on him he would have been locked up by now. But that's me.

Kind of why I think you see reports of Trouba wanting 7mil a season in WPG. |

I'd rather have Dubisnky, but they're both bad.
I've been to Columbus, granted only for 1 night. No thank you. |

Do you think with Hextall being the GM and having and seen probably more of Schenn then anyone else, with LA and Philly, he might have a feeling about giving him a long term deal?
I wonder sometimes that certain guys might not look the same to Hextall as they might have looked to Holmgren. Like Laughton. Maybe Hextall isn't as high as the previos regime was. |
