I believe the flyers will trade up. To what extent not sure.
Bill any late round guys (5-7th rd) who may intrigue the flyers? - rinaldo
Outside of the top 120 picks? Not to speak for Bill, but I'm not sure he's scouted that deeply. Not that he won't know the players taken, but that's a bit far out to project.
I agree with Bill, I think it's highly unlikely that they trade down. However, I could see them trying to trade up if someone who is rated in their top 10 is still on board by pick 12 or 13. Between picks and non blue chip prospects, they should have plenty of options to make a deal to move up 5 or 6 spots.

I see us moving up by departing with a d prospect and/or picks from 2nd/3rd round. Even if we don't, I will be happy regardless and hope Hexy gets a steal with one of our quantity of picks.

For what its worth...here are my top targets at each position with some scouting profiles I found (had to dig deep for 5-7 rounders)
Forward: Mathias Petterson
A developing two-way centre with an offensive mindset and an arsenal of weapons and ways he can hurt you. Limited in size and physicality, he has good vision and can beat you with soft pass, or snap shot or by stickhandling through you. Needs to get stronger more aware in the defensive zone and engage opponents physically.
Defense: Steve Morrow
Assets: Is a low-maintenance defender who can log huge minutes if need be. Displays plenty of grit for the blueline position. Plays with poise. Always gives his all and leads by example.
Flaws: Lacks the physicality to punish offensive forwards. Doesn't play with a lot of confidence in the offensive zone, and is a limited talent overall.
Career Potential: Defensive defenseman with leadership qualities.
Goalie: Brett Roloson (no relation to dwayne)
“Brett is a very smart and methodical kid. His intelligence and ability to understand the game has helped him during his first two years. He is very driven and focused and wants to get better. I have not seen him take a single day off or pass up a chance to better himself. For a big goalie, Brett can move around the net fairly quick. Once he fills into his frame more, he will be able to add move explosive power into his game. He is very technical in his movements as well as positioning. Like all young goalies, learning how to read plays and have better control of rebounds will be something Brett will work on and with the more game time he sees in the future the easier those things will fall into place.”
Can you weigh in with your opinion of Stamkos? There are a lot of opinions, more for no, in regards to making a play for him. I am on the yes side if the money is below 10mil cap hit, which I think it will be.
I think he brings something to help now and still young enough to grow with the future. And not many times a 26 year old superstar hits the market.
Just looking for some thoughts. Sorry if you did hit it in a previous blog and I missed it
EDM is looking for D. But, a Dman that can play now you would think. Sanheim, Gost and Provorov gotta be untouchable. Should be an interesting draft. From my teams point of view and yours. Hextall moved up last year too.
I watched Bo Horvat being drafted on YouTube recently (TSN feed) and they talked about a younger player to watch out for in future drafts. Travis Konecny. Kinda cool.

I keep getting this feeling that Schenn could be moved at the draft to either move up or in a bigger package.
Not sure why but just don't see him as a long term fit. Maybe they sell high like Florida did with Gudbranson.

I don't think Sanheim is untouchable. I think he was, until they drafted Provorov, who is kinda like a Super Sanheim (maybe even with a cape). I'm not saying they should ship him off, but it seems like the collection of Ghost, Morin, Provorov, and Myers are a good enough complimentary crop that you could potentially move him for a top forward prospect (Petan/Barzal type). Just my opinion

My goodness I would love Barzal...Islanders owned that trade

then good don't speak for him. Bill has in the past mentioned late round guys who have some intrigue.
