Brennan is a slow player in the AHL.

Europe is probably a good place for him. Yotes need to spend their money a little more wisely than that.

Our ANALYtics guys don't want him.....why do you Mr. Tanner?

Hunwick
Rielly Gard's
Zaitsev
Corrado
Harrington
Marcinin

There's a few more still.....he may not be.

Marincin will play ahead of Hunwick (Garbage, probably not back) Corrado, Harrington and Percy. I'd be pretty shocked if he didn't start the year getting regular minutes.

I know, eh?

Tanner usually has his head so far up dubas and co.’s asses that he can taste their breakfast. I guess he really likes Yoplait.

But now he wants a guy they’re dumping???

It doesn’t make sense.

It does though. For the Leafs it makes sense to go young and they have a bunch of 3rd pairing / AHL guys to sort through. The Coyotes have two NHL defenseman and no good prospects. Brennan should get his shot at the NHL - he's earned it about as much as anyone ever has.

no - i don't believe he has earned it.

he can move the puck really well in the ozone.

He’s a train wreck in his own zone and skates poorly.

Earning it would be improving his defensive coverage, learning to move the puck out of his zone under pressure and improving his skating.

He continues to rely on things he does well and does nothing to improve his weaknesses; and his weaknesses are amplified in the nhl.

If he’s looking for another one-way contract, the yotes need to stay far away.

Brennan has played 53 NHL games, is 27 years old and hasn't stuck anywhere yet. It's over for him. At best he's a #6-7 12 minute player who can play on the PP.

It's that kind of thinking that will get you a job with the Canucks.

Honestly, get a life dude. And a sense of humour. Try to have fun with this, it's a hockey board not a support group for the easily offended.

it's not good corsi/bad corsi, James. If you look at it that way, every bottom pairing guy/sheltered Dman is going to compete for the best in the league. I'd implore you to consider their production, their competition, their deployment, their partners, and their box protection (look at Schultz's HDSCA/60 every year if you think he's underrated)

In such a fluid game, narrowing value/ability down to one or two numbers is pretty shortsighted imo
