I don't think that fits under their salary cap. They're adding $6.5M in payroll and only losing $3.2M. They're currently projected to have barely over a 600k in space. |

As much as I like Klein and we need the quality D. He does get hurt a good amount and I feel like he has some of the best value thru trade that we could replace |

That you quickly responded, with this information, worries me deeply.
I don't even think most Wild fans know that bit of information.

Two more years, on a very favorable contract, and his last two seasons have been his statistical best. He is 31 though, and I don't think his value will be any higher than it is now, so that is why I would pull the trigger on a Klein deal if possible. |

I mean it only took me all of 5 seconds to pull up generalfanager and look at the Wild's cap numbers.

Well considering they sign everybody with Minnesota connections to massive deals, if I were a wild fan I'd think the cap was nonexistent too. |

I can see why. It's great, even has draft picks on the left side |

Would not mind Stepan being dealt but it has to be at the right price. |

Some really bad contracts on that team and a few high end draft picks really haven't panned out thus far: Granlund is at the top of that list.
They did steal Dubnyk though. |
