so it sounds like if The Rangers move Stepan to Minnesota, Brodin would have to be in the package coming back? |

I have a feeling everyone is going to be disappointed if they are looking for any big trades or moves. I think its going to be some very minor stuff. Still fun to discuss, but its going to be some role players and thats it. |

Sorry I just don't see G going anywhere! One tough season while he was injured doesn't not prompt G to be traded!!! Does anyone not understand even a bad season without injury happens to all players!!!!!!! It was dumb enough to let Stralman go when Tampa signed him at 4.5M cap hit and we got Boyle for the same money!!! We also let Boyle go to Tampa for 2M cap hit WTF is going on here? People may have gotten on Boyle's case for not fighting at his size but winning face offs at over 50% was the dumbest of reason to let him go for what he signed for!!! We need to trade Nash as much as I do like him 7.8 is just to much money for him! We need young talent to mix with our core so we can use the 7.8 cap hit from Nash to sign someone young and puts the puck in the net! We do have several options here that do not require us trading G!!!!!! |

I think there is going to be one big trade, and thats it. My guess its 65% Nash, 20% Hayes, 10% Stepan, 3% Brassard, 2% Klein |

there was no way they were ever going to trade G
the question is whether to buy him out or not |

I wouldn't mind a big trade. This core had its shot.. had a great 4 year run cant deny that. But its time for a new look in some areas.
I think Stepan is under valued league wide and don't want to give him away but I would love a Coyle+ Pick for Step trade |

Vin brought up Coyle and their first rounder in 2014, Alex Tuch.
But, we just tossin' salads at this point |

problem is Minnesota have no picks, so it would have to be for one of their recent high picks

Same. Wild have some interest in Stepan apparently. So if that's the case I want a first round pick+++ for him. |

I really can't believe that the Rangers are actually flirting with idea of trading Stepan. This franchise really is ass backwards. |

Wouldn't make sense for the sabres to trade a 25-year old who plays a more physical game and scores roughly the same for an older Nash. I like Nash, but if the price is more than a second and a low-level prospect, I doubt the sabres are interested. After all, moving Nash is seen as a positive for NY, and so that's where the value lies for the Rangers. - jcragcrumple
I like Kane, he's a pretty talented player. But I think he is one of the most over-rated players in the league. He has scored 20 goals twice, even if only because he is oft injured. Compare that with Nash who has only missed scoring 20 goals twice in 13 years. He might be slowing down but Nash is still a better player.
And I only suggest this because I think Buffalo is only a few pieces away from being a VERY good team.

offense
I think there is a chance something happens on D, but I think the organization views Skjei as their big defense addition
just by the way AV was playing Skjei in the last playoff games I can tell how highly they view him |

I've heard the same thing about the Oilers too. No offense to you, but the Sabres actually have to show they can be a good team. |

Yup and end of the year comments AV made sounds like he is a regular next year, which I assume means Yandle walks. |
