If it happened now, who knows. Star on Star violence still doesn't really get punished. I say a fine. - mdw7413
Especially since it was the playoffs. Duncan Keith swung a stick at a face and got a short suspension because "playoff games count as more than one game" |

Yup Letang swung his stick purposely and took out 4 of Stalbergs teeth, no penalty, not even a review. Change that around Stalberg is done for 2-3 games minimum. |

With his face why would you even get into crime. I mean even if he was innocent, with the way he looks I would still pick him out of a lineup. - mdw7413

None. Both Stevens and Lindros were star players, didn't leave his feet and tucked the elbow until after contact. Some no namer throws the same hit, half a season suspension just because. - smellmyfinger
Lindros skated with his head down constantly |

that's cause he did that in junior where he was a foot taller than everybody else. |

Spot on. (actually did the same myself when I was a kid ) |

And if I remember it correctly the Stevens hit was just icing on the cake, I think his brain was already scrambled from a hit from Kasparitis where Lindros again had his head down a few weeks earlier. |

Fourth round pick of the Leafs in 2011. Tough defensemen with limited offensive ability. - MidnightMarauder
Could have been depth on that right side though. Rangers need it badly. |

From reading that write up looks like Benning is going for the Brian Burke makeover on the Canucks. - smellmyfinger
The Gudbranson trade is just a bad one. McCann is only 19. Has versatility. Played center in juniors. Gudbranson is about to enter his prime, has had nicks and bruises and has never topped 15 points in a season. Add in the picks the Panthers also got and it's a big win for them. |

that's why Zborovskiy was a questionable pick, another lefty |

No need to rehash that with me. Wasn't a fan of that the day the pick was made. |

it doesn't mean he can't be a good pick though, he seemed to progress this year
but, in an organization with Skjei and Graves already on the left side, with Mcdonagh and had just signed Staal to a 6 year deal, it is definitely a WTF pick |

If the organization is set on trading Stepan, than they should look at what the Avs got in return for ROR. Players are similar.

Avs got 2 former(still young) first round picks ad a 1st overall pick in an upcoming draft. Grigorenko turned out be a disappointment. Zadorov looks like he could turn into a nice top 4 d-man. |

ROR was in his last year though... And everyone knew he would demand a long term contract north of 7M. Hard to compare... |
