Jonathan Bernier is a young Carey Price.

Nice of you to bring your scouting department bro.

Are we going to sit here and pretend Bonino is driving that line?
- golfingsince

Who said he was. I said he has been an integral part of the Pens playoff success. And only an idiot with his head up Benning's ass would deny that.

(frank) this is just pathetic how desperate you guys are to make Bonino look like an anchor when he is currently having a lot of success.

Hmmm. Totally possible just seems kind of like a knee jerk reaction. Agree to disagree about Guddy being a true top 2 dman but he'll go to war for your team and his teammates. I guess we'll wait and see
- Mordecai

That is what we need. I don't care if he turns into top 2. Top 4 is just fine. McCann will top out as a 2nd line center(could be 1c if he has stars like Laine, Pulj, Tkachuk, etc with him) and Horvat will be better suited to that for us.

We're not trying to make him seem like an anchor. Sutter was hurt nearly the whole season and you're going to compare Bonino's playoffs vs a guy that isn't playing.

Good on ya.

There is a reason the Pens traded Sutter for a more productive option.

Also no, I'm not doing the same with Sutter, if Sutter has been an integral part of the Nucks playoff success and I was poopting all over that in an attempt to make myself feel better about a trade, then I would be doing the same thing.

But Sutter only played 20 games and he didn't exactly light the world on fire.

Benning on 1040

He really likes McCann.

Also, I like the way he feels teams are built.

I'll compare their previous 3 years of performance and still come to the same conclusion.

Holy (frank) man you really like making straw man arguments and arguing with nobody about points you've just created.

If you don't know what a straw man argument is I highly suggest you look it up and read it with better comprehension than you have in this argument so far.

I said he was an integral part of their playoff success and you come back talking about the regular season.

Guess what, Bonino wasn't the only Pens player who struggled under Johnson and has excelled under Sullivan.

- RonPielep

Do you know what might help me understand things a little more clearly? If you said the words "straw man argument" some more.

Well (frank) I'm surprised you didn't just twist my words or conveniently miscomprehend them some more so you could give yourself a leg to stand on.

Really excited to see Sutter as the Nucks 1C for the next 10 years tho...

Yeah there were a lot of reasons, feel free to scroll back a few pages and see the various benefits the Pens got outta that trade.
