Got to give that one Tampa fan some credit. Even though his understanding of the rule was delusional, he was going down swinging. - madmike71
Wolfman the Flyers fan is still going - there's some real hate between the Pens/Flyers that cannot be debated!
That's the most Tampa fans (3), I've ever seen on HB - Stammer not included! |

Yup. I find it so odd that I've never heard anyone complaining about the off-sides rule - one of the most basic fundamental rules of hockey - until a goal is disallowed from it and then, they dissect it like the Zapruder film until they can find some misplaced logic in why it shouldn't have been off-sides and the general issues with off-sides and the meaning of life in general.
It was off-sides, deal with it people! |

Can you stop calling it "offsides" when it is a single event. The call is "offside" not "offsides". FFS - Chadavitch
Can you spell "favorite" right? There isn't a "u" in it.
Thanks,

Yeesh... looking into that lightning thread makes me wonder how any fanbases ever accuses of us being the worst. |

We are the only people who whine and everybody else is perfect. I have just learned to accept it.
For the record the only replay I like is the determination of goal or no-goal. I don't like the coaches challenge in any sport, but it is never going away.

Game 7 in-debt gameplan preview...

If my AmeriCorps term ended just a week earlier and God willing we advanced, I'd definitely drive out to Pittsburgh and live out of my car and watch the games on the big TV. - Victoro311
I'm about 8 hours from Pittsburgh, been to many game at both Mellon and Consol. Have been to 3 Pens home playoff games in my life- Game 5 vs NYR in 08' (Hossa OT winner to "end" Jagrs NHL career), Game 2 vs Philly in 12' (8-5 lose) and Game 5 vs NYR in 14'- forget the score, but we lost and it was the beginning of blowing the 3-1 series lead.
The plan for the past 5 years or so was to attend a cup final game in Pittsburgh (08' and 09' was just starting my adult life and didn't have the ability to get time off of my job or the money to do it)and this year was starting to look like the year to do it, but a buddy convinced me to go to this GM 7 instead.. Games a gaurentee and will likely be more intense then a game 2 or 3 of the cup final. I imagine prices would be crazy for a game 5-7 of the finals... So I'll have to make due with the Pens accepting the Prince of Wales Trophy!!
Got lower bowl seats- $210US each plus all the BS ticketmaster fees. Money well spent |

Man it must be awesome living in your teams' town. After for years of living the football lifestyle at ND, I really want nothing more but to be able to experience the scenes at Consol and Heinz on a whim whenever I want. Either have season tickets like I did at Notre Dame or just wake up one morning, say (frank) it, and shell out some money for next week's game on ticket master. If we win the Cup, I may legitimately just drive out to Pitt whatever weekend the parade is and take in the atmosphere. This is probably the last summer I can do something so wholeheartedly stupid and irresponsible like that. |

Haha, you skipped my first line, I live 8 hours away. I don't even live in my teams country!! When I was in my early 20's a made a point of going to atleast 1 regular season game a year in Pittsburgh and tried to do a playoff game every 2-3 years... But I do hear what you're saying- I envy the guys who live in Pittsburgh or within a couple hours... I'd have season tickets for sure!! But I'm still grateful being where I am- 8 hours is a long drive- but it's doable- feel for the guys like "martox" who are half way around the world. |

San Jose is all over St Louis to start this game. |

Haha did totally miss that part and skipped right to the "I've gone to a lot of games" part. I'm going to be in the martox camp soon. Gonna be living in Bologna, Italy for a year starting August. At least I should be back stateside in time for the second half of the playoffs |

They were 10 minutes ago.
I'm amazed how it takes going down 4 goals to turn up the urgency. This looks remarkably similar to our 3rd period last night. |

San Jose vs either of pens/Tampa is going to be fun to watch. San Jose team is scary as hell. I didn't think jones could carry them to the cup finals but he's been good. Whoever plays them better stay out of the box. |

He's also on a two series 5 per game unforced giveaway streak... he's still in my doghouse, obviously. |
