Article on the enigma that is Matt Read from last week.

http://www.broadstreethoc...tt-read-remains-an-enigma

- Feanor

Good article, understand and acknowledge the metrics and if pushed on it, I don't think Read's the worst thing going with the Flyers right now, but I'm going with my eyes on this one: He wasn't unlucky last year. He simply wasn't good and my personal opinion is that he is in decline

That being said, I don't think anyone is biting on that salary, so I freely admit that I hope I am wrong and that he not only has good metrics but adds a bit more production and consistency next season

Your fault for rooting (cheering) for the Pens last round

With the Flyers going with that ohh so noble, whistle to whistle no emotion approach.

Pittsburgh would have female dog slapped them harder than Washington.

Man Pittsburgh played so well.

Only one penalty. In the first period. Amazing. Teach the league.

they become (frank)ing enamored with just sky floating the puck down to kill a lead. its the absolute worst.

The skill of Tampa is impressive, Flyers are nowhere near them. And Pitt is obviously good, but the way Tampa moves the puck is something to watch.

Every team does that. Shut down hockey and play with the lead to close it out.

I just really wish the NHL would do something about its officiating. Examples time after time. It's just such trash and widely accepted.

That, and the disallowed goal in the 1st based on one of the crappiest rules in the NHL.

He's still an effective player. Perhaps, slightly overpaid, but he has a role in the top 9. I'd keep him around because they really don't have anyone to step into his spot and they'd end up overpaying in FA for someone of similar ilk anyway.

I'd be willing to guess that fans of teams that win Cups find it exciting
- PLindbergh31

Sure but whether or not people enjoy watching a team play the trap was put into question.
