the good old days when the leafs would mortgage off their future for aging vets. at least we had playoff hockey
- matt1337

I hate it when people use 20/20 hindsight and revisionist history.

Fact: we needed Kurvers to anchor our powerplay.

I can't remember what plug NJ ended up drafting with that pick, but I highly doubt he could have run our powerplay as well as Kurvers did.

which they will get destroyed by
- zazzle

I think it will be a really big challenge for them but they were "supposed to" get swept by the Heat as well.

If last nights Raps show up for this series it could be a lot closer than many think.

that sucks, i hate when stupid innocent things cause big injuries. i got bumped in hockey while not paying attention after attempting a shot block, fell, landed on my knee, tore my pcl and meniscus. all from a nothing fall, and i was 21 at the time. no one knew what was wrong because it looked like nothing when it happened. knee still isnt the same since
- matt1337

I was 38 when it happened so safe to say it was a long ass recovery.....and I'm still not really recovered and I guarantee my knee will never be the same. I still kinda limp and it stiffens right up if I sit or lay down for more than half an hour.

Perhaps you haven't heard, but Bristol doesn't believe in pre-marital sex.

Do you guys not have internet access or something?

He's only been "ok" because they've called back 5 goals already
- AdamFrench

I'm just used to seeing him be their best player by a large margin but I'd say Elliot, Pietrangelo, and Backes have been better overall. I'm not just stat watching either, I've seen the majority of their games.

Ducks have plenty of centres... do they really need another one?

I would think that they're possibly looking for a left winger?

- TheMussel

They do want a left wing. I don't know what the extra pieces would be but I would like to see the main guys being JVR going to the ducks and Anderson, Fowler coming this way.

well my doctors were stupid and told me i would be fine in 2 to 3 weeks. 2 weeks later when the swelling went down, i started playing again and probably made it worse. they then realized after looking at the mri again what had actually happened. this was after i went crashing into the boards knee first after being tripped. i was out the whole season, but was lucky to be back for the playoffs after lots of physio and the surgery.

Not like he'd captain a team to a championship or win a Conn Smythe or a Norris or anything.

Stop with the Fowler talk. Makes way too much. Vatanen or Lindholm or move on.

I don't know if we need more 5'10 d-men though. We need some guy who can shut down as well. Fowler is that.
