just a piece of advice, when you're trying to prove a "progressive" point, linking to ultra progressive websites like USuncut and thinkprogress.org does nothing to strengthen your argument.

secondly, you highlight the lack of US deaths due to muslim terrorist attacks, but then one post later you go on a rant against policies that have been put in place specifically to combat such terror, completely ignoring any possible link between the two.

thirdly, while we can all agree Islamophobia should be denounced, not all sentiment toward potential Muslim terror is irrational or unjustified. the US has been spared from the worst of it these past 15 years. but i don't know if you've noticed that Europe has a sliiiiight problem with extremism and terrorism and that boundary between the western world and the world of extremists is getting narrower and narrower. it's not that (the majority of) people live in fear of getting blown up on a bus or having to coexist with Muslims.
