I don't think that should be added to what is reviewed. I think it should be adjusted to where the player has to have clear possession of the puck, and situations where a player whacks a puck in the air, and it goes out, not be a penalty. - MJL

I'm downright Machiavellian, bro. It has always been about the Flyers...always. I rooted for the Pens to prove my point that the Flyers didn't lose because of "size" to the Caps and they don't need to go hog wild targeting it. Pens are smaller but faster and beat the Caps. Now I am back to hoping they lose. Tampa is the same team as they are but better and deeper, especially on D. Two teams with "midget" skill forwards are in the ECF. I have won.
(As a side effect though, I have come to kind of like Letang. I went in too deep to come out unscathed) |

StL vs Tampa will be a good match up for size vs small
Or San Jose v Pens which is more a mixed bag
who knows |

Tampa is big on the back end though -- they're the model I aspire us to be bc I think we are heading that way. Huge d prospects with skill; forwards...not as big a concern, whoever is the most purely skilled.
San Jose is pretty big too though. But Nashville is going to rock them tomorrow so they'll be irrelevant haha. And Pens are smaller than Lightning actually. This could be a really fun Stanley Cup without all the usual suspects. I'm psyched as long as the Pens don't win. Every other team I'd love to see win. Bunch of underdogs or small market teams or perennial underachievers. |

Picking 17 vs 18 could be important. Draft starts to thin near there, and I'd rather not have Nashville snatch someone ahead of us.
I have to hope they win anyways. Plus I want to see Pavelski cry. |

hope you won't be disappointed
what Nashville did the last two games at home was remarkable but not sure they can pull off another win away from home
I hope they do |

I won't be disappointed. Sharks are a better team. One pick lower is really not a big deal anyways. Drafts always turn out funny. It would just be preferable to pick 17.
But if the Sharks lose...someone is going to be crushed.... |

Burns/Vlasic are as good a two headed monster as there is...both are probably #1 types and yet are worlds different stylistically. Sharks deserve to make a Cup Final...been one of the best teams of the last decade and yet just can't make it to the big dance. St Louis too. Nashville is a perennial underdog in a small market. This is just no lose really out of the West. Three easy to root for teams. |

My first thought was that disallowed goal should have been saved. Yeah, weird play, but that went through him. I don't play the position though I'd like to hear hammar's thoughts on it. - Giroux_Is_God
it was a wacky goal, deflected and got through him as you said. we never want pucks to get through us, but i will say this until i'm blue in the face....the puck has ways of finding holes. i can't tell you the number of times i've had pucks hit my thigh and spin right off and go between between leg and blocker arm even though i'm squeezing and it against my body and it doesn't feel like there's a gap. it finds a way. when you take pro level speed and deflections, people just have no (frank)ing clue how easy it is for that puck to end up in the back of the net.
he was rattled by that goal. the 3rd one was awful. and it's why i HATE the reverse vh or RVH. it's not a natural body position and is so easy for the tiniest hole to open up, which it did.
last goal looked like it tipped and changed direction. he didn't pick it up until it was by him.
rough, rough night for him. he doesn't suck though, no matter what anyone says. |

he has me nervous. he's going to be glued to crosby. and malkin is lugging around two trashcans in kunitz and fehr.
kunitz is so old he's basically the old reliable family dog who you should have old yeller'd behind the shed 4 months ago but you just cant bring yourself to do it.
fehr. i truly dont know what his deal is. im disappointed right now.
gonna need the kessel/hags/bonino line to basically just say alright guys i guess we'll do everything again. - stayinthefnnet

I love that STL, SJ or NAS and TB are all still alive. It's refreshing to not have the usual suspects. |
