i can't see him getting it what's your angle on that? - 2Real
For starters, (random) I don't like all the forwards having letters. Second, he is a veteran who displays leadership on the ice with consistent play. Third, i view him as a leadership guy in the locker room and say if Streit is moved, I'd expect him to fill in that role as the aged veteran in the locker room. But the choice is unlikely, which is why I said unpopular answer |

Claude Giroux, after they rip the C off of that fraud's chest and give it to Simmonds.

They have enough mid round picks. Better to keep him if that's the best return - PhillySportsGuy
Why?
Is he giving you that much?
What about all the talk of getting assets for the rebuilding?
I don't see the need for a limited Streit. I'd take the mid round pick and allow for a defense next season of :
Del Zotto
Gudas
Schultz
MacDonald
Gostisbehere
Provorov
Manning/Alt

What if Provorov comes to camp next year and doesn't impress? Also, they don't seem to see Alt as an NHL player.
Not disagreeing with you, but Provorov and Konecny are not locks for next year. |

Maybe.
I would almost say that Couturier is probably the most important player on the Flyers. |

He could play bad.
I feel like he is mentally ahead of his peers and I think he can handle it. I don't know if there is anything else he can prove at juniors.
Konecny could go back to juniors as I think he could build more strength.
Konecny would have to have a great camp to avoid going back to juniors.
Also that is why I have Alt and Manning together. I think Manning might have earned another contract to be a possible 6/7 guy. I think both guys are pretty close in skill. |

Streit is still fairly productive. I think he was pretty injured but never let on. He also only has a year left on his deal which works well as a bridge to the young defenseman.
I guess I just don't see cap space as a huge asset for the team this summer. I don't anticipate any big moves. They aren't ready for those yet. |

Yes, and he should get the next 'A'. Though I wouldn't be shocked if it goes to Schultz, assuming Streit's been traded. |

I'm with you. Have heard it pronounced Lie-nay and Line-ay. Not sure it matters that much. I'm sure it will change once he scores 52 goals next season for the Jets and wins the Calder. |

What's fairly productive.
I thought he was almost the worst defender at the end of the year and playoffs. He just didn't seem to react well and he looked even slower then before.
I know keeping him isn't a huge hindrance but I would rather move him.
Also I want the Flyers to explore Stamkos so my plan would use that available cap space.

Trade Streit and let Baby Schenn go and there is your Stamkos money.

Can I ask why is it attractive to sign with EDM?
Do they really have that better of a chance to crack the NHL roster there?
Just curious as I see, not just the Flyers, but other teams that can offer better situations.
Just curious. |
