The Pens can't exactly say they've played their best hockey either. That's where concern comes in. Malkin was atrocious last game and Sid was decent but hardly great. They need these guys to play up to their paychecks. As much as we're blown away by depth guys, it's time to nut up for Sid and Geno. Frankly, they need some more offense from Letang too.

Yeah exactly. The big 3 need their best games of the playoffs tomorrow night.

I kinda think both teams are playing very well. Its just that each side has the talent to take away a lot of the things the other team wants to do. Goaltending has been good to with the exception of Murray last game.

When Crosby is playing at the top of his game he's unstoppable. I don't think he's even drawn a penalty yet.

We need the Crosby from February and March. The guy that stormed his way into the Hart nomination. If we get that guy back tomorrow this series is over. I understand the Caps are a very good team, but it still doesn't explain the lack of drive from Sid.

On another note... I was listening to the fan earlier today and they were reporting on practice. They said Sully stopped practiced and yelled at Sid and Hornie for a lazy pass while practicing the PP. This x 1000. Waaaaaay too much of that lately and I love the coach for pointing it out.

There is no question, Sully is the right man for the job and the kind of a guy that this team needs and has needed for quite some time. Like we have our own Gunnery Sergeant Hartman from Full Metal Jacket who doesn't care about anyone's superstar status or salary. The question still remains if this team has got the heart, guts, smarts, dedication, and discipline to take keep going this season. Sully said that he thought everyone bought into it this season. I want to see on Tuesday if that is true. I sure didn't see it on Saturday.

I think this is spot on. While the play of depth players is critical to being able to make a long playoff run, their role is to complement the star players, not to carry the star players and the team which the have done pretty much this entire series. You need depth players to win a game for you here and there but if your relying on depth players to win you 4 out of 7 you're going to be very disappointed. Worst case scenario is that Sid/Geno/Letang match the production of the Caps star players, anything less and we could be headed for another heartbreak.

He doesnt seem fearless in this series. He needs to play like there's no tomorrow.

He just skates east-west into the zone too much trying to set up Hornqvist or Sheary with a pass. Those guys are good, but 9/10, nothing comes out of it. I want to see him take more shots and then let Hornqvist bang the net for rebounds
