When the coach is still teaching this team how to play basic NHL defense, it tells you this team has not matured to the level of a Tampa. Whether they can get to that point, especially when all we have is a fourth line and three partial lines, well we will see if this team foes forward or we get a stagnant team. |

Who said he's teaching them that at all. Even our vets are positionally soft. This team plays dumb hockey and never seems to clean up their mistakes. This coach is out of his league |

And I'll say it now: Both Cappy and Weight will be back next year. Bank on it. |

They didn't make any changes after having 11 shots in a game 7 and going 0/14 on the PP in the playoffs. They won a round this year; they're certainly not making any changes. Our only hope is the new owners wanting to make changes. |

No media pressure. A team that has accepted mediocrity for years. In a year where they stepped one inch forward, ultimately having moved forward will be all that matters. That alone will allow Snow, Capuano, Weight and the rest of the gang another contract. |

Looking at the season that late western road trip put them into good position, but the last month did not prepare them for the playoffs. Greiss saved them in the first rd and parts of this rd. |

I'm not trying to proclaim I was completely right but years ago when I said the Isles should take Hedman over JT, this was precisely why. 6'5" dmen that can do what he does are even more rare than forwards like JT. |

Well that power play is something else and this team always looks ready to go so... Can't wait to see okposo in another jersey and hopefully nielsen is not resigned. Can't stand watching these clowns anymore. Capuano already won his cup. Guy is (frank)ing terrible. |

When you let him skate around and do whatever the (frank) he wants it's not to tough to do what he's doing. This team is mailing it in (frank)ing disgusting. I'd be embarrassed to shake the other teams hands if I were these guys. Disgrace |

Agreed. Funny hearing teammates saying Okposo is the smartest player on the team, because he makes countless mental errors. Frans has once again become Mr. Softy. I just wish Brock Nelson could have made it to the series |

I'm with you any islander fan that thinks this season was a success should kill themselves and do the rest of the population a favor. So yeah Brian Erni should kill himself. |

You picked the right guy. JT is a great, great player. |

JT is a great, great player. - Artyukhin76 Hold on now...The year before Tampa picked Stamkos first...so it was perfect for them to get the #1 d-man...if they didn't get Stamkos the year before I bet you would have picked Duschene...the Islanders were awful they needed to pick Tavares... |

He definitely is. And I think either pick would have been fine. My point at the time was that a guy like Hedman is a once in a generation type player. Dmen like that are the rarest of breeds |

As much as I like #77, and always did - I would probably take JT first... |

Of course you would. Hedman is good but the team he's playing against right now is making him look like a super star. |

Yep. It was the right call. We didn't need a center, we needed a defenseman. |
