If Snow stays so does his buddy. That's how it works. The last person I want as my GM is someone who makes decisions based on friendship. That's what we have here. - Cptmjl
Exactly how I feel. The management and coaching staff should be cleaned out. |

have a great summer fellas.
We laid down yesterday. if isles want to reflect they can say they blew in twice in game 3 and 4.
I don't blame Tavares or Greiss for not repeating their first series heroics. I blame Okposo, Strome, Nelson for not rising to occasion.
DeHaan could have had the worst Playoffs I have ever seen. He was horrific and basically on the ice for every Key Goal against.
Don't expect much of shakeup, in the NHL fans eyes isles had a very successful season. Im just more disappointed as I don't think isles will ever have this Path to Eastern final ever again.

Okposo is gone, He sealed is fate being a zero in playoffs.
Nielsen will be resigned as he is cheaper than Okposo and bring more overall to the table.
I think its time to shake things up a bit with team.
Biggest is stop with 4th line. the fact is we have best 4th line in hockey yet the worst 2nd and 3rd line is telling you something.
Cizikas and Clutterbuck are not 4th line players, in fact they aren't 3rd line players either. Time to move them up.
Im curious if Hamonic still wants to be traded

Honestly, leading the league in hits means nothing to me. I like Martin and his toughness...but there will always be marginally-talented hockey players that can throw their body around looking for an NHL job. I don't think Matt Martin is "special" in any sense of the word.
I like him, he's a great guy, he's a good 4th liner that sticks up for his teammates...but at more than $2M, I find him incredibly replaceable. - eichiefs9
Martin isn't special on his own but the chemistry he has with Clutterbuck and Cizikas is special and should not be overlooked. |

We've seen other young players fall back like Strome after a nice rookie season. It was dumb to just count on improvement from the young players and especially with this same coaching staff. Garth did not make enough moves in the offseason and many of us said so at the time. - ses111
It's time to import some guys with playoff experience for our forward corps. The secondary scoring failed miserably. Also, too many soft players. If Lucic is there on July 1st, Snow (or whoever is hired to replace him) needs to be ALL over him. Any Justin Williams types available via UFA? |

We'll agree to disagree.......toughness is what the post season is about. Just cause the isles have one line thats tough.....its not enough. Theres a reason why the "4th line" was so successful this year. |

I agree that they both must go. Capuanno at the very least. But how many GM's/Coaches get fired after back to back 100 pt seasons and coming off of a 2nd round playoff? Most get extensions. I think we are stuck with these two for a while. |

I believe the reason they were successful is because Cizikas and Clutterbuck are high-energy players that are all over everyone on the forecheck. Martin is a nice compliment to them, but imagine getting another guy that plays physical but can actually skate somewhat-fast and has a little more skill than Martin? I think that line would be even tougher to play against. |

They need more than just playoff experience. They need SKILLED forwards. People that can move the puck, instead of just relying on Leddy to be able to skate up the ice. They can't cycle the puck more than 2 or 3 times before coughing up the puck. |

Absolutely. Guys like Strome, Bailey and Nelson don't cut it. Time to look for solutions from OUTside the organization. No more sitting back all summer. Snow needs to (finally) be active July 1st. |

I hope we hear from the new owners soon. No waiting until July 1. We need answers now. We need to do if we are moving forward with Cappy and Garth or not. |

It's like we are now in limbo. Too many unanswered questions and our esteemed GM is still in his cave somewhere. The new owners will not be taking over and doing NOTHING. We must expect not only some turnover, but a big splash as well. These two want to win. I doubt they will be as "patient" (idiotic) as Wang was. |

I would think July 1 is just on paper. If the new owners wanted something done they could have it done before they officially take over. If they have to wait then they will have a later start then the rest of the teams in the league. Also players may not want to sign if there is no stability in the front office/behind the bench |

I would hope July 1 is only on paper. They are already owners now and Wang cannot stop them from doing something. I really think we need to hear from the Ledecky sooner rather than later. |

It strange to me how Wang and Snow really went silent this year. You figure Wang's last year as owner and you would hear from him a little? I really have to think the new owners would rather not go forward with Wang's hires. I would not want to look like Wang's caretakers even for a year. I think they should put their stamp on this team now. |

Still chief Wang's last year as majority owner and nothing? We also used to at least hear from Garth after the trade deadline. I saw nothing from him. |

nuts.. right? This is exactly what lead to us being terrible forever.. trade away all the talent that was earned with horrific seasons b/c you are too impatient. anyone that thinks Snow, Brock, Lee, Pulock Barzal, Bouv, de Haan, .... are all busts is just foolish. These are 25 year old kids.. and YOUNGER. They will get better every year.
Tons of UFA's out there.. snow will do what he always does.. write a number down for Okposo, Franz and Matt... will go slightly higher but if not let them walk b/c it's the wrong number (see- Jason Blake, A-mack, Streit, etc.).

Not really sure what Wang would have to say? It's not like he sold the team outright and is stepping away from the game.
As far as Snow, I don't ever really recall "hearing" from him at any point in the season. Not saying it didn't happen, but I don't believe it ever happened enough to wonder where it went. |

Find me another owner and GM who constantly address the media. |
