Hey, can you complain about Schwartz and Steen next?
 - carcus
Or any forward for that matter...maybe Stastny, Brodziak, Lehtera. |

This if effing ridiculous you guys have been targeting Klingberg the whole series. - tootooisapunk
Because Blues going after 6'2 Klingberg instead of 5'10 Russell is the same thing as Stars going after 5'10 Schwartz or 5'10 Fabbri instead of literally anyone over 6'0?? |

Told ya you'd love him. lol I'd like him back after the season.
That Fabbri kid is fun to watch. Wish I wasn't working so I could watch the game.
Good luck Blues. |

Brouwer - Seven points in his last seven playoff games. Hoping for an empty netter to get him over a point per game in the span. |

Defensive zone adventure again with Gunnar and Parayko on the ice.
Elliott with a great save on Eakin. Wow.
What a backcheck there by Schwartz who may have saved a goal.
ETA - actually 2 saves not one. |

The biggest thing I love about his game, is he plays a heavy game, but doesn't take a lot of penalty minutes.
His hands are iffy at times, and why he fell in Q's huge doghouse, but the guy is a keeper. Didn't really pay attention to Oshie, but Brouwer's a guy you win with. The dude has your team's back. |

Klingberg weighs 180 soaking wet at most.
I'm surprised you aren't complaining about the missed high stick on Johns, isn't that your other MO? |

I don't understand why that was called. Everybody has been doing crap like that the whole game... |

Was definitely a missed high stick that got Johns, but you also got a clear make up call on Backes that hasn't been a penalty any of the other 50 times it was done this game.
Given how terrible the Stars powerplay is, do you really want Blues being able to just ice the puck? |

Dumb arm positioning by backs and unnecessary. Bear hugged him basically.
of course, no call on upshall helped (high stick that cut johns) |

Took 5 shots on the empty net to get it. At least they got it. Now to end it Monday night. |

Empty net's save percentage is better than Lehtonen's in Game 2 or Niemi's in game 3. New starter? |

That was a great stop by Russell to get that in the air.
Great game. Let's close them out on Monday! |

Elliot and the Blues played a better game, got a bounce as well.
Going to be an uphill battle on Monday, but I expect we'll see 7 on Wed. |

That was kind of scary Kris Russel looked like a goalie out there haha. I can't believe he is playing such huge minutes on that team. He is a 3rd pairing guy at best. |

To start the game I was thinking that Captain Kangaroo must have had a stroke.
Second period Blues play their game and dominate. They finish their shots.
Got to say that Elliott played great. Much better rebound control.
Antilles Edmundson did not look good but the kid will be good. He has shown issues all year long with positioning.
When Brouwer was called from slashing I was trying to figure out how the first slash on him was fine and then the hooking okay but his slash no good. It was a penalty but they needed to have called the one before to be consistent.
I guess TIJ will be awol today.
The Blues just got to keep playing their game. About time Jaskin got a shot. Henlooked pretty good. Really strong on the boards. And he finished which has to be great for his confidence.
JayBo rebounded with a solid game, good backchecking, gap closure was much better in the second period. This is what wins games. You cannot back up to players who have speed and skill.
They played a good two periods. Was really angry with the first period. |

That was Gog grabbing his stick in his arm pit. Players have been doing this for a few years now and getting hooking calls when it should be holding on the other player. |

No offense but I highly doubt it. The Stars are growing but they are not good enough. Every game when the Blues exerted themselves they dominated and scored. nWhen ever they were hesitant on not olaying their game it was to the Stars but not by much. |

I was thinking were I in charge I would replace Reaves in the lineup for this game and get Ott back out there. Ott must not be healthy.
Good on Jaskin for getting the call and being ready to answer the bell.

Pretty solid game but Dallas came close on a number of plays and it really could have gone either way. This team seems to play better after a loss than a win and need to keep themselves from getting complacent.
Tarasenko was pretty much invisible out there other than a couple of nice back checks and some ugly shots from the left wing. I wouldn't mind seeing him play a game like he did in game 1 vs CHI after forcing those shots today. |

No kidding. Next year in training camp I'd have these guys practicing empty net goals EVERY DAY.
Good grief they're awful at it.... |

I was worried he was going to take a penalty along the boards right before that goal but that was a great shift by Jaskin. Not many teams have the kind of depth to throw a guy like him in the lineup.
This game was kind of the opposite of game 4, the Blues were outplayed in the first and lucky to be able to stay in the game. Once they started slowing Dallas down in the neutral zone it was advantage Blues. |
