Still hoping that someone signs both Torts and Keenan to share head coaching responsibilities and then makes a reality TV show.
Will always love Hartley after the Vancouver game where he made Torts loose his poop. But would be happy as a Oiler fan on draft day if they can sign BB. - DuranDuran

General press conference not a tsn thing. - LittleRickyV2
Well BT is kinda busy at the moment with team Canada poop, plus TSN chose not to air that presser, instead opting to shove a camera in front of Burke. That's not really the fault of BT. |

Sure sounds like Monahan hated Bob based on this... - jtommyt
Listened to it on the Fan - he was his usual monotone self, but to me it didn't sound like he was either devastated nor elated by the news.
It's the cycle of sports, you have the hard-ass coach and he is usually followed by a players coach, or more of a mid-liner, and then in comes the hard-ass to follow when the perception is that the players have become too comfortable.
Waited one off season too long, with big name, long tenured coaches having been snapped up last year, but I have little doubt the Flames are targeting an experienced coach with a solid track record.
Boudreau is the first name that springs to mind, because of timing and, generally, his solid regular season track record.
I also wonder what will happen with the below guys:
Tippett - got some power in AZ, but if they get a new GM, that may change and he could opt out... you can bet BT is watching his former team just in case
Mike Kitchen in Chicago - draw the Toews/Kane/Keith comps with Mony/JG/Gio, throw in a Chicago coach working under one of the best in the game and who knows??

Jesus Christ you can't be that stupid can you? I said any times BT is the GM and makes the final call. But any of you thinking presidents don't have a big say are dumb as (frank). - Iggysbff
First you implied that Boudreau would not want to work with the "blowhard" Burke.
Then when people began to point out that it is in fact BTs team you backtracked and said Burke has a big say in things, but in the end BT makes the call in an attempt to save face.
Of course the President has a big say in the organization you fukin knob, nobody on here disagrees with that. But if you honestly think that the President of the organization is going to be talking/influencing the coach on a regular basis then you are the one who is "dumb as (frank)". There are many factors that will go into BBs decision, Burke is not one of them.
Get a head start on friday and go fist yourself. |

Burke is a blowhard. Why would BB want to work with him? If you dont think Burke will be a factor in if Boudreau wants to coach in Calgary is a factor? Of course it is. People don't like working for poopty bosses.
We all know GMs get the final say. I never back tracked anything idiot.
Jesus there are some dumbass people on this site. You just wanted to argue for the sake of it. You've proven many times you don't have a clue. Gfy!

Not that im involved, but I think people in the hockey industry respect Burke. He does things to benefit his people. Things like calling the Xmas freeze a week early for his teams. BB nay not be one, but I think many people would hVe no issue working alongside a man with Burke's knowledge and experience. |

No one has suggested the other coach that got canned in the possible coach carousel this season...
Dave Cameron... I mean failing after a season with a non cap team isn't that much a failure, it's tough coaching a team like the sens
Or what about Paul McLean? He was the guy that apparently that ran the Ducks power play and PK.... He turned that them around with it.... And that's one of our greatest weaknesses |

That's a laugh... Burke has been the GM of five teams and aside from inheriting an already built team in Anaheim has been a total flop everywhere else. |

That's a bit of a stretch. He was only in Hartford for a year and made some decent moves, he did a great job in Vancouver, he did a great job in Anaheim, he made some okay moves in Toronto but I could see people thinking he was a flop, and he's not the GM in Calgary. |
