How much could the Leafs trade up from PIT's 1st (25-30) if they packaged:
PIT 1st (25-30th)
2016 2nd (31st overall?)
+ Kapenen
+ Bozak
Does this get us into the 7-12 range? |

I'm too lazy to look up who is in the 7-12 range at this point but I think this only happens if they think they're gunning for a playoff spot next year and they need the immediate help (Bozak on the roster, Kapanen for depth) |

Cut out Bozak and you can still get to 13th for that. |

Notes from the Finland v US game:
Leo with the game winner in OT.
That Laine kid is pretty (frank)ing good! Plays very cocky and fancy, could be a good or bad thing.
Didn't notice Puljabi. Don't know his number but I was able to find Laine and Matthews from their play.
Matthews, less "dynamic" than Laine but he quietly makes things happen on the ice. He is going to be awesome. Workman like player, just goes about his business and gets it done with tons of skill. I see some Kopitar and Sundin in his game.
Larkin is pretty ridiculous....and I hate anything to do with Hotown. |

Like bingo said I'm not sure if bozak helps that at all |

I never want to trade 2 firsts and a 2nd ever again
For the record, last time it got us a 5th overall |

Otherwise looks solid. |

Anywhere outside of Raleigh if he wants more than $3 million per. |

Why Komarov with Matthews?
Wouldn't we want skill on his line, but with a work ethic? Soshnikov or Brown are my picks. If Komarov absolutely must be on there, he can replace Lupul |

I'm enjoying this game though. We don't have enough roster spots available for all the kids that should be up, which is great. Slowly we'll get rid of the dead weight but for now Lupul plays and someone like sosh or brown gets sent down to the Marlies. |

Forgot Sosh. I liked Komarov because he grabs attention on any line freeing up other players. In other words he soaks up the hits and rough stuff. And he can chip in goals. Takes heat off Mathews. And has work ethic and leadership to kill. |

I agree. Sosh-Matthews-Komarov
Like the Kadri line from last year but with a better player in the middle |
