no Stamkos
and if you think that Lou is heading into training camp without adding at least veteran on d-side... I think you might be wrong.
besides, no Carrick.. who should be above Corrado |

There is a UFA available in the D section, that would indicate veteran.
I agree about carrick (he probably slots in and out with some others until they figure out who the best is), and stammer would be great but it's not exactly likely that he signs in T.O. at this point.

I wish I could jump on the Stamkos train but after all is said and done I'm going to try to show some level of temperance (for a Leafs fan) and suggest that Stamkos to Toronto is <50% probability. |

I know nothing at all either, but I'll break it down based on my lack of knowledge, because it's fun.
55% Tampa (change is scary, they get to talk to him until July 1st, they are in the 2nd round, they are more legit to win the cup now than the Leafs may be for a very long time depending on how prospects pan out)
30% Toronto (Mom's home cooked meals, he makes lower net salary but never pays for a thing for the rest of his life, petition to induct him to legend's row starts circulating immediately)
10% New York (Party with Derek Jeter and Broadway Joe, good hockey market, gets to play with some alright players)
5% Everybody else |

I wouldn't be surprised to see Crawford and possibly Howard moved about this season. Howard less so if Datsyuk retires. |

I am one of those pessimistic Leaf fans that always think its other fans way overvalue our players values in abilities and in trade suggestions....
Before the Matthews sweepstakes, I was convinced no hockey god would ever bestow the number 1 pick to the Leafs....
Stamkos though, I do believe he is going to sign with the Leafs - everything seems to point in that direction (including what Stamkos has indicated (and tried to hide) himself).
I put the odds of him signing at >70%

Some Boston Herald (?) source said Stamkos was keen to play for the Bs. Not 100% on that, but would he play behind Bergeron and Krejci or on the wing? Pretty sure he wants to go somewhere he'd play center.

Very interesting. I find it interesting that you bring sources into the conversation, considering this is HB. |
