I think arizona goes dman 100% if they dont pick top 3. They are loaded up front with prospects and have 3 good young dmen and then absolutely nothing.

I know coaches are the first fall guys, but do you think Boudreau is on the way out? That team typically plays well but just cant get by those game 7's, its hard to pick out whats gone wrong or where they could improve. Do they shake up their core or just do the coaching thing?

It really is a hard pattern to defend, but I watched a few games and he seemed to coach well. He had Kesler out just for draws and matched him hard on Nashville's top line, he split Perry/Getzlaf, then moved them back together, changed goalies when they got down. I'm not sure what else he could have done, but with how many game 7's they lost, its getting harder to say bad luck

It really is a hard pattern to defend, but I watched a few games and he seemed to coach well. He had Kesler out just for draws and matched him hard on Nashville's top line, he split Perry/Getzlaf, then moved them back together, changed goalies when they got down. I'm not sure what else he could have done, but with how many game 7's they lost, its getting harder to say bad luck

It goes to show the level of NHL coaching for playoff teams....he gets bested by superior coaches. He's just not as good as they are, its not that he's bad. Laviolette has a lot in his playbook, which is why I said the preds advance. BUt I definately didnt think it would go 7. I suspect the ducks addition of Mclean made the difference. I saw him doing the play instruction with the board on several instrances. Worked well. Same thing happened with AV here, couldnt win and kept getting schooled, then Newel Brown was hired and he used his strategies from NJ (where he won cups) to get us to the final and past the hawks.
Its funny how HC gets all the credit or blame....the other coaches have their hands in there too. If BB does get canned they may be best to promote mclean.
