Na...there's no such thing as a curse, people who buy into that crap need help. The team has been poorly managed....period! They've never built a team through the draft like 99% of championship teams do....there's your answer to why they haven't won.
Drafting anywhere in the top six is gonna get them a really good young player, I just hope it's top three. - LeftCoaster
Interesting analysis. Not sure I agree with all his ideas, but it will be an interesting 8 weeks after the lottery for sure.
Hey if you weren't picking top 3 what do you think about going after Logan Brown
59 games 21 goals 54 assist 6'6 Centre. I know you have been keeping an eye on him lately. I think I would want him before Tkachuk - VANTEL
Hey, I posted the below in the previous thread...I've been stuck in limbo as Carol didn't post the link
I like him a lot, as well as Jost. He is huge and has a great skill set, pretty hard package to find. The fact he is rocketing up the rankings is a positive for a big guy too. Guys his size take awhile to find their coordination/ grow into their frame so it's not surprising. Pretty big risk to take him top 5 though. Dubois and Tckachuk are certainly safer picks.
Wouldn't surprise me if he climbed to 8-10 range though. Wish we had another first! He is Chyrchrun's best buddy too. Imagine if we grabbed both!

I think the Dmen are going to drop. Bobby Mac had a good assessment of 10 scouts and how many placed the 3 big Dmen n the top 10.
I have a feeling Brown will be around #8. His numbers are as good as Nylanders but less than Tkachuk.
I hope it's top three, but whatever happens happens. If they don't get top three it'll be note resting to see if he trades down for a second first round pick.

What does Bob know
Do you really see 4 Dmen going in the top 10 ? I don't , not of this calibre. I could be wrong but I think Brown will be in top 10. - VANTEL
I cant see it either. But sometimes you see that panic set in, when a commodity that is already in short supply starts to go and guys start getting worried. I wouldnt be surprised if the top 4 D go in the top 12 and a few teams trade up for it
McKenzie's scout-sourced list has him at 13, 6th is a bit of a stretch, maybe trade down with the Canes to get him. - LeftCoaster
I always like Mackenzie's list because it is interesting to see the avg of the scouts he talks to and how they change throughout the year but he does only ask 10 scouts so his rankings can still easily miss out on some different perspectives.
IMO CSS and ISS is the most accurate rankings as they are not affiliated with teams and don't take needs into consideration.
