Eagles are such a mess of a franchise. It's like they're trying to make Jerry Jones jealous by making big moves that never pan out. - Nucker101

How about trading up for Laine? - jmatchett383
Yes, please. I'd offer the Ekblad deal that fell apart to get it done. |

and back pedal into the bushes if you are wrong?
Say whatever you want about Wentz/Goff/Jones...
without a legit qb threat...your team is nothing. did the broncos just win a SB without a qb? yeah pretty much...so it could happen. But look at any team out there with consistent success year after year...they have a great QB. The Eagles are going for it...QB or bust. If it fails they clean house...if it doesnt they get a great QB. A few draft picks on non QBs arent going to get them to be a contender anyway |

Bradford's second half was top-10 last year... He has the potential to be top-5 once he gets back all his lower body strength, and manages to stay healthy. |

I'm thinking that Provorov will be the best of the bunch. |

I really wouldn't mind drafting Gauthier around 17/18, if he's still there. I think that he could be a really good compliment to Konecny in the future. - Coleman
Anyone but Gautheir. His all around game is really weak and he can't produce much offense on his own. At best he can score like Simmonds, but play without the physciality and energy Wayne brings. There are better options around that point of the draft. I am hoping someone like, Brown, McAvoy or Jost falls in a similar fashion to Conner and Barzal last year. |

A lot. But since we're talking about draft fantasy land, just figured I'd chime in.
Our 2016 1st, to start
Probably Simmonds
Sanheim
One of Laughton/Stolarz/Lyon
Not giving up Provorov, Ghost, Morin, or Konecny. After that, all of our prospects are in play for one of the Finns, assuming they are coming to NA next year. |

I won't have to back pedal. But I'll happily do it if I'm wrong. I hope I have to hear "I told you so" instead but I doubt it |

I'm sceptical of Howie/Pederson's eye for QB talent with their first two acquisitions being Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz and spending valuable assets to get them(whether it being $$$ or picks). |

I could see Gauthier scoring 25 goals or so in a heavily sheltered role. If he gets remotely close to 60 points in the NHL, I will be in shock.
I like Jost and Brown a lot, but that's trade up territory. McAvoy could fall. He's the only top guy I've never seen (Rubtsov too actually), and I'm not sure where his stock is. I think McKenzie's recent list had him top 15. A bit surprising but I've heard good things. So not really. My dream is a trade up for Keller who I think has a higher ceiling than Jost and Brown, but could go after them. He strikes me as one of the steals of the draft if he goes 11-13. Short of that: Rubtsov or Bellows at our pick. |

Was there anything more to that Hockey Central comment yesterday about the Flyers being linked to Jimmy Vesey other than that one line of speculation? |
