Im surprised brooks still has a pass to MSG. THat would be the correct way...call the newspaper he works for, inform them and tell them why. Eventually There will be no more maggots from media arriving to your pressers, they'll not employ such disrespectful people. They will assign him some other team and send better people to your pressers - SMBDragon
I think MSG might look at Brooks with the consideration that any publicity is good publicity. Guessing, if he steps out of bounds occasionally, press passes are revoked, and there is more publicity for the club and Brooks and then all is forgiven and the cycle starts all over again.
Brooks does come across as a bit of a maggot, but if Trump can have a TV show, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Duck Dynasty and Honey Boo Boo, it is not surprising Brooks has a loyal audience too. |

People use to turn onto CKNW daily to listen to Neil McRae. People hated him . He played the villan well and helped sell air time |

Its his job to question. If Boyle doesn't like it he needs to suck it up. You know what so many people nowadays have their opinion and the problem is they feel everyone should think the same way they do. He ask the questions nobody else wants to but I guarantee they are all thinking it. |

I don't buy that anymore. The last time I mistook it for chicken broth. Obviously the soup was horrible that night, but it's actually not bad as a salad dressing. |

Remember when Bob Mckenzie sued over locker room stuff? Long time ago... I like him now but in his early days he was a bit of a wiener. |

My jokes toward Nucker are all in fun. Believe it or not I actually like Nucker and debating with him. He has an opinion. We almost never agreed but he was good to have around. People have a problem with him because he is a bandwagoner. Jumping from team to team. He is still a good fan of hockey and passionate. I would like to see him in here more often. I am sure you of all people know about guys going after you for having your own opinion. - thundachunk

He is a punk kid spouting off...his hatred towards the organization was disgusting and I hope he stays away. To each their own |

Sedin Sedin Hansen
Baertchi Horvat UFA/Finn?
Etem Sutter Rodin
Burrows Gaunce Dorsett
Granlund/Zalewski
JV and McCann in AHL till they earn it or injuries force it. - belcherbd
Switch hansen with rodin. Id like to have a true 3rd line in a check role so that bo can focus on scoring goals.
ALthough I would trade hansen and edler for highest picks possible at the draft. Then use free agency to find moderate replacements and continue the rebuild. Hamhuis for 2 years for edler and maybe brouwer for hansen. |

I don't think Burrows get bought out and don't think we get lucky enough to get a NHL ready player. - belcherbd
I wouldnt buy out burrows if im FA its a waste of money. Let him play out the year and hopefully deal him at the deadline 50% retained for a pick. |

hard to say what happen w burrows. He did have a meeting with the team about his future. He says hes a canuck but uncertain about how long as well. This is the guy management has said would be great to retire a canuck. I do not believe he was on the trade list either. Yet the meeting....
Id say he does bring intangibles and I think we'd miss him too like on PK, screens etc.
THe time to buy him out 100% for sure would be IF we severely needed cap space due to huge UFA signings. Pretty sure THAT wont happen so its a big question mark. |

From a marketing side FA may say we need to change. Bringing back a same losing roster will probably lead to empty seats.
Bringing in new players can at least sell more tickets and hope. You can use that cap space on Burrows or you can pay a little extra and upgrade. |

roster wise JB has retooled it each and every summer. Lets hope we are in for some pleasant surprises.
Some players could be moved in a trade for picks prior to draft as well. Move up? Extra picks? Anything could happen....
Should be an interesting summer that answers a lot about where we go |

well said.
I think Burrows has such a big fanbase, that most casual fans are not going to be turned off if he see's out his contract.
I could see him being moved, but since we're not making any playoff runs next year, i don't see the justification around buying him out. |

I don't think everyone is pro tank. It's hard to fault WD with the team we had this year and last year he made the playoffs wih a team no one thought would. I think he was brought in purely for the young guys making the adjustment to this level. I'd say he has done OK but not amazing. I just don't blame it all on him. Overall, I'm happy with what happened because we will have a top 6 pick which will be better in the long run. |

so let me get this straight....you credit WD with getting them to playoffs and ANY success but its not his fault when they lose and finish almost dead last?? THats pretty selective opinion there.
And this years roster was far better than last years at that. Of course MANY coaches are good with youngsters, he's not the only 1.
He isnt NHL quality, he's in way over his head. Even broadcasters on television were laughing at him. Seems like a decent guy n all but hes a WHL/AHL coach, not NHL. D coach is even worse and MORE of a reasoning for our failure than WD.
We need coaches that use a style that wins cup as every cup winner for quite a number of years has had that. Obviously you cant win it without that. So we should pursue a coach that uses THAT instead. No point in having a coach that cannot win the cup. |
