So, John Elway apparently called up the Eagles asking about Bradford. The Eagles gave their offer and Elway though it was too much. What do you guys think Bradford is worth when Kaepernick is reported to be about a 3rd rounder to Denver. - 2Real
SF wanted a 3rd. Elway offered a 4. |

Sirius NFLRadio can't remember what show said it. 2 and 3 might have came in when salary retention came into play as the Broncos cap looks ugly.
I was watching and listening in at that time since I am a Broncos fan. Not sure I want either Kaep or Bradford but I'm sure ButtFumble is not the answer for the starter. |

I know it's off topic, but Dan Boyle yelling at Larry Brooks made me LOL:

Not a Sanchez fan but when he had a good defense and really didn't have to be relied on to win the game for them he took the jets to playoffs and AFC championship I believe |

Schultz has been that for 2 years for me. Send him out there he'll do a good job and block shots. I'm fine with him staying around for a bit until the kids are ready. (I'm looking at Morin). - dragonoffrost
Exactly..Another year of Schultz is not a problem for me with what should develop over the next 1 or 2 years.
if those prospects were not in the pipeline then he becomes more of a concern to me. |

I'm so intrigued by Clayton Keller. Draws Gilmour comparisons. Brown is an absolute monster and allegedly a pretty good playmaker. Jones is the least developed of the three but he could be our "Tom Wilson" with higher potential and better speed. - Mordecai
So would a better Tom Wilson basically be Milan Lucic?
Don't know about you people but I'm not looking to spend a first rounder on a guy who gets me two 30g 30a at his peak.
Guys I select in the first round shouldn't give me a narrow bell-curve worth of production. I'd like it sustained, thank you. |

Don't see it.
I only see Provorov next season. Maybe Morin later in the season - J35Bacher
I firmly believe Morin is ready. He could have played in the NHL this past season over several of the bodies we wheeled out there this year. |

well, i value bradford higher than Kaepernick.

so supposedly Kaepernick is worth 3/4 from what we're hearing does that make Bradford a 2/3rd? Would that be fair for the Eagles? We'd essentially have to go with Chase as the starter this year which would be?????!??!? |

I don't get the MDZ love. IMO he's average as an offensive defensemen and below average in his own end.
That's just the way I see it but I read a lot of people really high on him. If you compare him to the rest of the league I think he comes off looking completely different than if you're just looking at the 7 D on the Flyers. Of course he looks really good compared to the rest of our D. - mayorofangrytown
He's really quite good when you compare him to other top-4 dmen around the league, tho. And he was the team's best defensive dman up until he got hurt...

Jones is a bit of a "worst case scenario" pick. I'm sure there are other players in the same projected area with better skill sets/potential. Jones would be the relatively "safe" pick. Lucic is a tough comparable but I guess it's pretty close. At worst he's a better Antoine Roussel. |

probably pretty poopty. and yeah i would want the higher pick compensation. better player, and the eagles would have to eat some kind of money based on when they trae him to fit him into what DEN has left under the cap.
but if you're all in on wentz, which they admittedly have to be at this point with what they've sunk on him, you're in all the way. really no point in having bradford for this year. they aren't winning the super bowl this year with him. they might as well try to recoup some draft capital that they just lost if they can.
but no, i dont think a full year with daniel is going to be that fun. but at this point it's quickly becoming just a placeholder year anyway. |

I watched Phantoms games for most of the year. He's solid. He'll do well in a more structured system with better players making better decisions. Not that it means anything but I said the same thing about Gostisbehere. You could see they were doing things and having to wait far too often for the players they were with on the ice to do the right thing/be in the right place. |

Let's put it this way.
Lucic and players like him (Hartnell) have this kind of mold
pesky
role player and pesky
first liner for a few seasons and pesky
role player and pesky
pesky/washed up/gone pretty quick by this point. The dropoff is usually sharp.
That's absolutely helpful. Everyone hates a Lucic in his prime, but everyone also wants one. That being said, I'd rather have a later half first round pick as a forward put up 5+ 60 point seasons as a top 6 guy.
In short, reliability would be nice in the first round, as opposed to flash in the pan-esque |

I would want Gudas on multi-year deal. He was good this season. 3rd best defenseman on the team after Ghost and MDZ. Also, complements both of them well - PhillySportsGuy
Until one or more of the kids suddenly turns ambidextrous, there's gonna be a huge need on the blueline for a decent right-handed guy. Alt/Myers/Willcox haven't started beating down the door yet. |
