We all are. I'd have made some horrid draft picks over the years. |

Are we going to see another year of Streit/Schultz/Amac on the D?
What will Hexy do?
Umberger I think is bought out.
Gudas I think will be signed to a 2 year deal, 2.25 yr one then 2.75 yr two.
Amac is unmovable most likely.
Streit I love but man this year with his injury, he looks done.
Schultz is a warrior and was ok defensively but they need a better two way player.
Can Streit and/or Schultz be traded?
Seems unlikely but who knows. - Marc D
I have no issues with Schultz being a 5 or 6 dman..Not every guy in your top 6 needs to be a two way player and to me he is one of those send them out there for a shift and dont worry about them types. |

After listening to an interview with Peter DeBoer this morning I have tremendous respect for what Hakstol did this season. PDB said he had to spend a few months figuring out his personnel and it wasn't until Xmas till things finally clicked for them, which was when the Sharks really took off this year. Hakstol turned poop into gold and got them into the playoffs which I think is a much bigger feat. - 2Real

So, John Elway apparently called up the Eagles asking about Bradford. The Eagles gave their offer and Elway though it was too much. What do you guys think Bradford is worth when Kaepernick is reported to be about a 3rd rounder to Denver. - 2Real
Broncos probably feel a 5th rounder is appropriate for a player asking for a trade and not reporting.

He really impressed me, giving everything he had this playoff series.
I have no problem bringing him back to finish his deal either.
It's going to be just another season of the same D then, with hopefully Provorov, but that is not a lock either.

I'd deal him for a second in a second - mayorofangrytown
I have a higher opinion of him than you. I thought he was our best defenseman this year. Again that's not saying much but I believe he's a bonafide 2nd pairing guy on any team
I would have no issues using him as a deadline chip if we're out of it next year and our prospects are humming along |

I would use Kadri as a comparable deal. Not sure how Schenn gets much more when looking at numbers Kadri seems to have been more consistent. |

He's a warrior but he's a part of the problem as to why we struggle with possession and getting caved in. Players like schultz are in their glory when the play is in his own end. We need to get away from this |

I'm willing to admit that it's probably 20% me pushing back on all the fussing over what I see as a below average defender.
I just don't like what I see when he's in his own zone. If he was 22 I think I'd be more forgiving. |

one more yr at the most, then streit/schultz are done
but it's another year of slow and trouble clearing the zone |

He may not be the future. If I had to pick the 6 in 3 years it would be provorov, ghost, morin, gudas, myers, sanheim. The ideal mix if it trajects right. Nice blend of size/skills/ 4LH and 2RH |

Schultz has been that for 2 years for me. Send him out there he'll do a good job and block shots. I'm fine with him staying around for a bit until the kids are ready. (I'm looking at Morin). |
