don't mistake my lack of pure visceral hatred for being pro pens. they are not one in the same thing.

i think part of it stems from my fondness for michel dion's beak mask. one of the greatest of all time. i get attached to things and am sentimental and poop.

if the flyers were facing the pens right now, it'd probably take all of one period for me to their (frank)ing guts. and that's without james captain and tennille. and joe smegma.

it's about choosing a lesser of two evils. for the time being the pens are the lesser.

and as long as I'm thinking about it, (frank) the igloo and mario lemieux, too.

I prefer the Penguins bc they play fast, fun hockey and they're probably something of the advanced stats team in this playoff. I really want them to beat the Caps just to dispel with the idea that the Flyers lost because of "size," and they didn't hit and get physical enough.

I don't even hate this Pens team anymore. Their average fan: yes. But this team just doesn't bug me the way it used to. This season series was weird.

that's basically what i've boiled down to with the flyers as well.

if i didnt actually live in philly, i think i would actually pull for the flyers from time to time. scrappy bunch. not a "broad street bullies, yo" team at all, despite what many idiots want/believe to the contrary.
