What type of package would the Flyers need to put together to get Pietrangelo, and Tarasenko. Those are exactly the type of players the Flyers need.

A hell of a lot I would think. Not sure why St. Louis would do that for any reason.

Something along the lines of our 1st this year our 1st next year Provorov and Konecny as a starting point. |

Yeah I know they wouldn't. But those are the skill sets the Flyers desperately need. |

Agree we need both, but wasn't he asking or turned down a 6 year deal with a cap near 6 Mil? Id think he'd be a nice addition with his scoring and physical play, but I think I'd prefer Backes even over him which would shape our Cs nicely
Giroux
Backes
Couts
Cousins
Could swap Backes and Couts depending on linemates - arichardson22
I think Backes has played a lot of wing too.
I think he is going to be looking in that 5-6 range too. |

If the price was reasonable, I'd agree.
But I think he wants 6 x 6. - Feanor
Oh, yeah not for 6 mil 6 years... He's 30 yrs old.
I'm sure some team would give him that. Most I'd like to see would be 5 mil for 3 years |

I haven't seen Konecny play yet. Is he considered a sniper type? |

Oh for sure. I just think with the way things are now, unless they want to sign Stamkos, they will have to continue to be patient and draft well. Not too many big goal scorers available in upcoming free agency. And nowadays in the cap world, no teams are going to be trading that.

Yeah. I don't want them to even pursue Stamkos. I just hope they can add a legit scorer to the top 6. If they do that, with the prospects ready soon things are looking up. |

why do people keep saying that? Neuvirth was 6-17-3 with buffalo last season - nastyflyergirl
That was six more wins than the Sabres management were hoping for. |

If they ended up getting Stamkos, I wouldn't go jump off a bridge. He is young and fast and scores a ton, but that would be a hell of a lot of money tied up in 3 forwards and not much much room for anything else. Plus he seems a bit fragile, even if his injuries are mostly of the freak kind.
Personally I don't see too many free agents I would be interested in next season, at least not for the money they will command.
They definitely need some size and skill up front. Their forwards are woefully undersized, even Simmonds is a featherweight compared to other so called "power" forwards.

If the Oilers want him they can sign him for $850,000 once he's bought out. |

Would anyone have any interest in any of the following players for depth? Christ Stewart, Smith-Pelley, Jamie McGinn? And then for top 6 potential David Perron, Jagr, Darren Helm? |

I would love to see Jagr back. We could use some of that leadership and off ice work ethic.

I think if we trade Streit we should look to sign Jagr back for those exact reasons and to add/replace veteran leadership. He has hinted on a return before I think? But I can't see Panthers management letting him walk |
