I really think a lot was taken out of the Caps tonight. They literally threw everything on net and couldn't get one past Neuvy. |

Flyers now 2-0 when I do not watch It is working so I am not going to mess with it. I did watch last 30 seconds though, dunno if that will haunt me or not... |

Mason, over roughly the same time frame (Jan 7 - Mar 19) had a 91.87 save percentage. - wolfhounds
Not sure why you chose that date when the season went on until the 10th of April. But removing that last game which was an AHL scrimmage, Mason had a .923 and Neuvy a .910. Certainly his injury clouds the sample size, though Mason is clearly not 100% either. And Neuvy only played 32 games this year, which makes his career (half) year even harder to predict with how it relates to his future performance. Which was my main point. They've each been great, with some ups and downs, as all players have.
Mason, since he has been a Flyer, has saved the second most ES goals behind Price. Even this year, a trying season, he was 4th at ES among goals saved/60. The Flyers PK messes with his raw numbers a bit. I like having both, like I said, because it's a nice luxury. Neuvy has been awesome. But I am not against selling high if the market is there. Track record is what I look at most. |

just say hypothetically there is the expansion draft, and it happens ASAP this offseason. which one do you protect? - stayinthefnnet
Not sure how it works so I am assuming minor leaguers and prospects count.
Giroux, Simmonds, Schenn, Couturier, Konecny, Voracek, Fazleev, Aube-Kubel, Leier
Ghost, Provorov, Sanheim, MDZ, Morin

I use tweetdeck. You can set up different categories for column feeds. It can still go pretty fast, but at least there's some separation. |

The conversation was about Neuvith and his 2nd half decline, so the sample went from the New Year til his injury. Mason was better over that time frame (by a bit more than a percentage point) and had more starts, but I don't think the difference was so stark. That's all.
Bottom line, it's great to have 2 very good goalies playing for the Flyers. And I'm in no way minimizing Mason's importance to the team, now or in the future. |

Chimera drilled Voracek in the numbers into the side boards. He got a two-minute boarding penalty but it looked every bit as bad -- if not worse -- than the Game 3 hit that got Bellemare a major, game misconduct and one-game suspension.

It's good for getting updates, an aggregation of news and information you find relevant. Other than that, Twitter blows and people are figuring that out because it's losing users.

Don't blame you one bit. I haven't been on twitter for more than 10 minutes in the last 6 months. My attention span is slipping.

I used it mostly for hockey updates and news, but the "I posted it first and damn the verification" crowd quickly soured me.

Again, I am not sure what the date of Neuvy's injury means regarding Mason's individual 2nd half which went until April 9th. You cut out his last 12 games. But regardless, Hexy probably can't lose keeping both or keeping one or the other. We live in good times. |
