Since last night I've just been kind of bemused. I had no thought there'd be another actual home game tomorrow. I can't wait.

The only thing that makes me sad is that my friends who sit next to me have a volleyball tourney (teen girl with Mom going with her) and soccer match (little guy and dad is the coach---at least they are looking for a sub coach so those two can come.)

I know he hasn't scored, but i am absolutely loving Brayden Schenn, more so than usual (and i've been in the brayden camp from the start ).

He's basically the only player from start to finish in this series who has matched the Caps physicality. The way he's playing reminds me of when i watched him dominate the WJC's some years back when he scored 18 points in 7 games, not just scoring at will like the did for team Canada but physically destroying opponents. The kid has a guts. He's amped up his physicality in the series.

How nice is it to put on NHL Network and just have hockey on, all the time. And it's all playoff hockey action. God, I love this time of year

So as some sort of therapy, I'm going to tell you guys what happened last night.

I played my very first live performance in front of people on the piano.

My girlfriend danced, and her friend sang.

I (frank)ed up. It was really upsetting and I still feel awful about it. It was the very first time I ever played the piano in front of anyone. There was like 100 people there.

I want to try it again but I also don't.

I'd rather just stick to drumming in front of people. Or playing the viola in a group of 50 other string players.

and btw this playoff format is beyond dumb. based on points the east has/had 1 vs 7, 2 vs 5, 3 vs 4 and 6 vs 8. the west 1 vs 8, 2 vs 3, 4 vs 7 and 5 vs 6.

IF the Caps and Isles hold on and win you have 5 vs 6 and 1 vs 2.

It's all about perception, JR and Milldouche were just waiting for Mase to have a bad game/couple of bad games to pounce on what they had been holding in for a while because he basically led the Flyers into the playoffs down the stretch.

0% chance he does. Or Jost. If either is available outside top ten, I'm in favor of a trade up. Not usually one for trade ups, but I feel it in my gut, especially for Keller. Watching Jost and Canada right now. I know he's done fantastic, but I've seen less. Like I said, with their assets and prospect pool, they need and can afford a difference maker, albeit an undervalued one. They need more than a solid middle 6 winger.
