i'm not. they should have been blown out. blown. the (frank). out. i was only able to watch from about the 2nd half on and the entire thing, literally, looked like a capitals power play. i've never seen anything that one sided for that long.

He's taken on so much responsibility. This team is so devoid of talent and to be in this position is a minor miracle.

The more I think about it it's really hard to imagine them sending konecny back next year. They have such a need for his skills. He'll be placed in the right situations (not on a checking line) on the pp2 unit. Look at a guy like Robby fabbri and the success he's having in these playoffs.

i think we'll see 3 prospects with the team next year, provorov, konency, and someone else.

probably 2 more the next year and 1-2 the year after that.

in 3 years we'll have 6-8 prospects with the team. i'm sure it won't all be cherries, but i'm so looking forward to this crop of kids coming in. they need it so badly.

Hell of a job by Neuvirth. That PP is just getting beaten badly, but have to give a lot of credit to the PK of the Caps.

Curious to see the injury reports whenever they do eventually come out. Giroux/Voracek look beat up.

I still think that most of Voracek's issues are coming from between his ears rather than any physical ailment. He is clearly frustrated and lacking confidence, making really dumb moves. Plays are dying on his stick, it's incredible. There was a sequence last night where the PP had gotten set for the first time all night, puck came to Jake and he immediately forced a play right to a Washington stick. I don't know, that kind of play doesn't scream "injury" to me. He's not alone in this though, all of the top guys have been just brutal. Fatigue for sure, injury maybe, being checked nicely by Washington for sure, but also just not making the right plays.

With every game, it gets more and more hilarious that Washington thinks they have any right to call out the Flyers for dirty play and questionable hits. After that Chimera boarding, they had a shot of the Caps bench. Jake had gone to the Flyers bench to get cleaned up, and after heading back out for the PP, there was a shot of Capitals players complaining that Voracek was good enough to get back out there, insinuating that the boarding call was somehow illegitimate. Unreal. It's not like Jake milked it and laid on the ice for 5 minutes.

eye for an eye. the caps have been running guys the entire series, starting in game 1 with orpik and it's just escalated from there. and he hasn't been the only one.

but i don't like dirty play, no matter who it's from. the difference here is the caps have been the initiators and are hypocritical crybabies to complain about it. schenn even said he didn't like what he did, that's not his game, and he obliged oshie at the start of last night's game.

but this is fine with me. if the caps are sending tape and crying in post game interviews, it means they're losing their focus. they're the superior team by a country mile and should win this series without all the garbage. if they don't, and they choke, they'll have only themselves to blame.
