I don't get the Mason haters. He is the reason why we even get to watch this series.
It would be nice to see Jake really break out tonight.
Read must be hurt, that's the only reason I can tell myself. - PhiFaninEdm
I think read must have a chronic wrist issue or something that occurred when he signed his extension. |

I often wonder how the season would have progressed had he not gotten injured. He was having himself a solid year, especially defensively. |

Going to be sedated 3 hours before game time.
3 wisdom teeth out.
If they are ever to be eliminated, this may be the best night for it to be done. |

I thought about the same thing. They have done pretty well for themselves considering he's been out for months now. |

Forgetting they have Tom Wilson on their team...
WASHINGTON -- Furious with Brayden Schenn's hit on Evgeny Kuznetsov, the Capitals sent a video of the Game 4 incident to the league.
The Caps said they would use the hit as motivation for Game 5 on Friday night at the Verizon Center, where they can wrap up the best-of-seven series.
"All I'm going to say about that is it was a pretty dumb play by me," Schenn said after Friday's morning skate. "No reason for that."
The Capitals also sent the league a video of what they thought was a questionable hit by Wayne Simmonds earlier in the series.
Is Washington coach Barry Trotz attempting to get the refs to watch the Flyers more closely?

I hope Amac is gone and Manning is not needed. But if both are here, I want Amac in over Manning. He's played pretty well since being called up. |

Part of playoff hockey. Trying to get your teams the best chance to win. Refs have a huge impact on a series.

Probably would not have seen as much Gudas as we did, which in itself is not a bad thing as he has really progressed with the additional ice time he has been given. Not to mention has become a beast with his tenaciousness! |

When he plays smart Gudas has been pretty solid. I'm still waiting for him to deliver a soul crushing hit in this series. |

We don't know what RJ is going to bring to the table until he get's a shot to show it. I'm not talking about replacing Cousins. It's Read I think should sit.
Why is everyone so concerned about a buy out for next season when they're in the playoffs right now? 3 million in cap space is not going to be a reason they make or don't make playoffs next season. - Baxter27
With Laughton and Coots out, they are shorter on PKers. Read should see time there. I actually think Umberger's game could fit well in this series with him in front of Holtby. The idea of him doing that is a little better than him actually being capable of doing that though. He has performed in the playoffs before though.
From an offensive standpoint I like him in front of the net on that line, but I want no part of an umberger, cousins, mcdonald line defensively when the caps have last change |

Yes me too! He has just missed a few to this point. I have a feeling he will be looking tonight as well to try and pump up the team. As long as he plays clean he is very effective. Most caps have a second look when he is out there.
