I hope he is. They need at least one of him, Voracek, and Simmonds to start putting pucks in the net to win.
But, at this point, they've won a game and escaped without serious long-term injury (seemingly, Laughton is less dead that I had thought), so I am satisfied. Not exactly happy, but satisfied.
Edit: I assume you were talking about Giroux, not Snider. |

If they win this they'll be in the Caps head's. And Ovi is prone to doing some really dumb poop when you get in his head. - hereticpride
Yeah. His hair turns grey. |

I used to have a giggle fit every time it was a game with Reekie, Recchi, Ricci... |

That's nothing to brag about. Last I checked, a game is 60 minutes long. |

Most often, yes it is. However, sometimes they go to overtime. In that case the game lasts longer than 60 minutes, and it actually continues until one of the teams scores a goal and breaks the tie. For reference, the longest NHL playoff game ever played lasted 176 minutes and 30 seconds. Which is 116 minutes and 30 seconds longer than from when you last checked.
My comment was also in response to someone saying the Flyers need to:

I don't get the Mason haters. He is the reason why we even get to watch this series.
It would be nice to see Jake really break out tonight.
Read must be hurt, that's the only reason I can tell myself. |
|

I would insert PEB higher up in the line up and get Raffl back to his comfortable spot on the wing. Read is really struggling in this series, so I would take him out in favour of Umberger's size.
Schenn-Giroux-Simmonds
Raffl-PEB-Voracek
Umberger-Cousins-Gagner
VV-White-Macdonald - Baxter27
Those lines look very ineffective tbh. Gagner and Raffl have looked good together.
Also, assuming the 3rd line tonight is Mcdonald-Cousins-Read, that line has the potential to cause some havoc and draw some penalties. |

Agreed on all points. We will hear Read only had one leg the whole off-season once they are done. 'Was playing with a lower body injury' next day, 'had soreness in his left leg' next day 'had a leg amputated due to infection and refusal to stop playing.' |

Really need all or some combo of Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds , Schenn to produce tonight.
You have to figure the Caps are going to come out on fire so we just need to keep it calm, survive and approach the game methodically.
At this point the playoffs were a bonus for me this season but that doesnt mean I dont want to see them win. |

That was my comment.
But with the caps coming home and a chance to end the series I have a feeling they will have some energy. |

Oh, and people need to calm the frank down about this Murray kid. Sure, he's playing well but saying it's time to trade Fleury and hand it over to Murray? Um, yeah, I'd hold off on that move, sport. |
