Why single out ghost on the first PP?
I'd swap G out with Gagner too. - Marc D
Ultimately because I think Ghost's age/lack of experience is starting to show a little bit. Problem is, I don't know how much you tinker with the units since the 2nd, in limited time, looks quite a bit better. But I definitely try something. |

Whoa, bud. This is not believing - PhillySportsGuy
They looked super fatigued to me and are handling the puck like a grenade
Great game from the D, Schenn, Gagner
Neuvirth looks all world
Other then that I have nothing |

I hope you're right ... unfortunately I see the Flyers being even MORE passive in the 3rd.
What's the record for most icings in a game? We might break it. - FlyerGuy
They look absolutely disjointed offensively, and they got awfully timid defensively late in that period. Not fun to watch at all. |

They should just start with the 2nd unit on the ice. They've been better for a few weeks, not just this series. - EducatedOpinion
Agreed. No doubt about it. |

The chances of them winning with another period like that are about as high as the chances of Wentz being worth what Howie paid. - Nucker101

I'm trying to figure out if it's dog tired, or deliberately passive. - FlyerGuy
Both, to me
I think the top players think they are giving all they can, but mentally, they are just gassed. Not an excuse. They just don't have much left in the tank -- people can hate them for it or support them, but they just don't have much in the tank
So they are passive/tentative, trying not to get beat wide or deep, but that's a good way to let teams come at you in waves |

Third period would be a great time for Giroux to make some noise. Damn. He has got to show up soon. I wonder if he is nursing an injury. He got banged around a lot down the stretch. Wouldn't be surprised if he is dinged up more than we know. - Lexington Flyer
He's not 100%, not even close |

This. And I imagine all players are a banged up to an extent, still gotta get it done. |

So your saying we don't even need to watch the 3rd cause the Flyers have it wrapped up. Right?

PP1 involves three players being 100% dependent on two players(G, Ghost). I'm no math major but it's no wonder why putting pressure all over those two completely destroyed the PP |

You can't sit on a lead although Don Cherry believes Simmonds should be sitting on Holtby's head all night. |

That is a pretty good breakdown. Now if the Flyers can finally start a season not being mentality fatigued like the last few, maybe they won't be so tired at the end.
I swear if Giroux, Voracek and the rest start next year in a slump then it might be time to finally accept its them and not a slump. |

ikr, with all those pp's you'd think they have another 5 shots just by accident.
oh well ... it is what it is. Come on Flyers ... kick a## in the 3rd. |
