If it wasn't for the Yanks and Giants I would be miserable all the time - Vukota
Lucky... Picked Mets, Jets and Florida Panthers. I have strongly considered picking up a Lacrosse team or something to see if I can find some sustainable success somewhere to cheer for.... |

Mets are going to be nasty for a long time with that pitching. My 8yr old like the mets and I have no problem with that |

Anyone who thinks Huberdeau's no-goal was a good goal doesn't know the NHL rules (and that includes that blowhard Pierre McGuire). It was a pad save; then the puck was kicked in by Huberdeau, who also pushed Greiss into the net. That's a no-goal at least two different ways.
The offsides in game 3 was clearly offsides upon video replay. If you want to make hay about how the offsides was immaterial to the goal, then take it up with the league in the offseason and not the officials making the proper call based on the current rules. This kind of video replay now happens in tennis, football, basketball and, even, baseball as well so get yourself some cheese to go with your gripe whine.
How else are the Panthers being jobbed by the refs in this series? - Snowblind
So you see a push, 95% of those who watched saw his momentum carry him into Greiss, which is not pushing. And I'm not sure how you can ascertain a kicking motion by Huberdeau when he's sliding on the ice. Who cares, we won. |

Tickets sold does not equal asses in the seats... - geta02it
No, those numbers are people in the seats. They count scanned tickets, new owners have been emphatic about being honest about that. |

So then any skater can just skate into the goalie after they shoot and say it was his momentum that carried him there? |

My point exactly. You don't know the rules. Momentum=pushing in this case. Whether you phrase it as "Huberdeau pushed the goalie into the net" or "Huberdeau's momentum carried him into Greiss", the end result was Huberdeau forced the goalie into the net after the goalie made the save, which is a clear "no goal."
As for who cares, apparently this blogger does and thinks the refs are the only reason why the Panthers haven't already won this series in 4 games. |

Did Greiss make the save? Doesn't look to me as though he did, the puck never really stops moving. And you can make the argument that Huby was influenced by whomever was defending him on the play. The actual rule (69.6) does not fully define what is momentum and what doesn't. If it did, that goal would have been allowed no question. Greiss didn't have the puck secured. No whistle blew. It was a live puck. |

If you can't agree that Greiss made a pad save on the initial shot, then we aren't living in the same reality.

back in 2012 it was the same thing, the panthers lost because the refs
when the refs called everything evenly, you can say they missed a call here and there but that went both ways
maybe its time to throw the "ref" card away
its been an even series so far so focus on the play and not the refs |

Actually, a question for the Panthers fans in South Florida here...
Does the game air on FS South? I'd rather watch the Panthers feed than the national feed (Which was actually the MSG feed once, gee thanks NHL). Of course the drawback is that Potvin is brutal, but at least I get more Panther-centric analysis between periods, replay angles, etc.
Gotta use NHL.tv for it, living in NC, but not sure if the feed will even be available. Any info from you guys? If so, is it the same as you would watch during regular season (Same channel?)? Thanks!!!! |

There was a rebound opportunity and the puck went into the net. We can argue semantics all you want. I see the play differently and I certainly see enough grey area in both the play and the rule to make the deduction that the goal COULD have stood. |

The games air on Fox Sports Florida and sometimes Fox Sports Sun. |

I liked how butch said "some idiot threw a rat on the ice" during the game. should have been a bench minor for being so inconciderate. |

Penalty shot in ot, gudbranson leaving his feet on the very high hit on Nielsen, the shoulder to clutterbuck's head and then the elbow to clutterbuck's face in ot.
What's all this? Stuff for your blogger to consider before another blog crying about the injustice of nhl officiating. |

One 30 second powerplay. Penalty shot was legit call as he closed the glove and tossed puck out of crease area. 5 powerplays and the same calls the Panthers got the Islanders got away with. Trockek was tripped just like the call they gave Jagr. |

Like you guys haven't got gifts in this series? Give me a break. You had 48 shots and scored one goal. That's the reason you lost. |
